Best Detox and Rehab Center for Addiction for Residents of California

Addiction is a serious disease. When a person makes the decision to stop drinking or using drugs, they may feel lost or unsure about how to proceed. At Resurgence, we are here to help you. We are not the stereotypical rehab clinic, with sterile hospital settings and one-size-fits-all treatments. At Resurgence, we are dedicated to each client, getting to know you as an individual during our intake process and finding out what you want, with guidance from our professional addictions counselors.

With our individualized treatment programs, our dedicated and highly credentialed staff, and our top-tier amenities, Resurgence is the best detox and rehab center for addiction for residents of California. We are here to help you and are just a phone call away.

Why Choose Resurgence?

At Resurgence, our focus is on treating not only addiction but also the underlying causes and co-occurring disorders like trauma and other mental health conditions. We have educational groups like anger management, addiction awareness, and relapse prevention, so you can get to know yourself and work to build yourself into a more well-rounded and capable version of yourself. Our process groups help with areas like emotional regulation, life skills, and coping skills. We offer vocational training, where you can gain skills in interviewing and finding work, you can learn about educational options, and you can gain opportunities to find work and gain financial independence.

All levels of care are supported at Resurgence, meaning you don’t have to transfer to a new facility and get to know new doctors and therapists between different phases of your treatment. You can stay with us throughout the program, get to know your team, and focus on your health and sobriety in a comfortable and familiar environment.

At Resurgence, we have 24-hour clinical care, under supervision by our head nurse, a certified addictions RN. Our staff is trained in trauma-informed practices, and they have your safety and well-being in mind at all times. You will always be in control of your recovery, and we will keep you informed with transparent decision-making. Our goal is to earn and keep your trust, so we will maintain a communicative and respectful relationship throughout your treatment. Many of our staff are in recovery themselves, so they know what it is like to be in your shoes.

Our rooms are comfortable, with full-sized beds and TVs, and the food is healthy and made fresh daily. You will have access to exercise facilities, games, movies, and you can participate in our off-campus outings to local attractions.

All of these features combine into a program that will create a lasting lifestyle and personal transformation that can lead to long-term success in recovery.

Alcohol Detox Program

Due to the way it affects the brain and the body, alcohol is a difficult substance to detox from. You should not attempt to detox from alcohol on your own. It is strongly recommended to use a medically assisted treatment (MAT) program under supervision by a qualified alcohol detox specialist so you can remain safe, and avoid discomfort.

The severity of withdrawal symptoms varies from person to person, depending on factors like your age, body weight, metabolism, how much alcohol you were consuming and for how long, and other variables like genetics.

At Resurgence, our detox program takes place in a home-like room, with qualified clinical caregivers available 24 hours a day. They will administer medications as needed so that no severe withdrawal symptoms occur, and you can rest comfortably as you detox. Psychiatric medications may be administered to those with a co-occurring condition so that their dual diagnosis treatment can begin.

Alcohol detox generally takes about five days, but the timeline varies from patient to patient. We will also introduce therapy and counseling so that you can work through any emotional issues or trauma that may come up during this difficult period. We want to ensure that nobody suffers unnecessarily through this period, physically and psychologically.

Drug Detox Program

Medically assisted drug detox is the first stage of a drug addiction treatment program. When you stop taking any drug that creates a physical dependence, your body begins to adjust, causing withdrawal symptoms to occur.

Everybody’s detox symptoms vary depending on factors like:

Some of the symptoms you may experience include:

Symptoms can become serious to life-threatening if untreated. This is why medically assisted treatment (MAT) is important. At Resurgence, our 24-hour clinical staff will ensure you remain safe and can administer FDA-approved prescription doses of medications to help combat drug cravings, help you sleep, and help with discomfort as you detox. You may also be prescribed psychiatric medication if a dual diagnosis treatment is necessary. These medications will not get you high, nor will they create a new addiction. They are only given when necessary and are administered by our professional medical team.

As detox is only a short-term solution and does not cure addiction, the next step is to move into our rehab facility for a 30-, 60-, or 90-day program that includes therapy, education, rest, and activities, all in a program designed by you and our staff to get you to where you want to be in life.

Alcohol Rehab for Residents of California

After your alcohol detox in California, you will be moved into our residential rehab program, which is located in the same facility. Your rehabilitation plan will have been worked out with you during our intake procedures, where we interview you, do a physical and mental health screening, and find out about your history, your goals, and your life. This will help us create a realistic, long-term plan for your recovery.

At Resurgence, our rehabilitation plans are usually 30 to 90 days. You will stay in comfortable rooms, with full-sized beds and a TV. Your rehab program will include therapy, process groups, and counseling during the day, with plenty of free time in the evening. Your days will be structured, planned out with the help of our expert staff, and will include fresh meals and exercise plans. There are fun activities if you want to participate, like games or movie nights, and off-site outings to local attractions.

Some of the therapy options we offer at Resurgence include:

Through therapy, life skills training, and working on physical and mental health, you will find ways to thrive and grow, becoming ready to transition into our outpatient programs. We can refer you to our associates who run sober living homes, or you can move back home, and participate from there. Our goal is to get you to a place where you feel ready and confident in making the necessary changes to live a sober life.

Drug Rehab for Residents of California

Once you have stabilized from your drug detox, you will be ready to move into our residential rehab facility, which is located in the same place as the detox facility. You won’t have to get new doctors and figure out any transfers, everything takes place in the same location, with the same care providers.

At our drug rehab center in California, we focus on you as a whole person, and we design your treatment program around that basis. This means we do everything we can to get to the root of your addiction, including dual diagnosis if mental health issues are present. We combine behavioral therapy, counseling, life-skills programs, and community-building activities into our treatment program, alongside exercise and nutrition therapy, so that you can build yourself up to become the person you want to be.

Alongside our many therapy options, some programs and activities we offer include:

We believe that with so many options, every patient at Resurgence will be able to find the combination of therapies and education that will work for them.

How much does rehab cost?

Each person’s rehabilitation plan is completely customized. At Resurgence, we can tailor your plan to fit your budget, with payment plans for cash clients. We will work with you to ensure you get the help you need, and we will work with your unique situation. Rehab and mental health care are also covered by insurance as essential health benefits, so you may want to speak to your provider to find out what portion of treatment will be covered by them.

How Long is detox?

The length of time detox takes depends on many factors, including:

In general terms, symptoms usually show up quite rapidly after stopping the substance. Within a few hours, the first withdrawal symptoms will appear, getting worse until they peak at around three days in. This is when things can become dangerous, because of the danger of dehydration, seizures, cardiac arrest, or other medical issues. This is why medically assisted treatment is preferred, as many of our medications can prevent serious side effects, and we also have nursing staff onsite to ensure you will be taken care of if your detox symptoms progress to a dangerous level. After that 72-hour period, you will gradually feel better until you are strong and clear-headed enough to move on into rehab.

How Long is Rehab?

At Resurgence, we customize your rehab program to suit your individual needs. Our minimum recommended time for inpatient rehab is 30 days so that you will have enough time away from the stress and routines of everyday life to see from a new perspective. We understand that not everybody can stay away from their responsibilities for a full 90 days, so we will work with you to figure out the best course of action, ensuring you get the help you need no matter what your circumstance.

We also understand that some people may need extra time in rehab to feel ready to move on to the next step, and we can work with this case as well. We always encourage our clients to remain in treatment for as long as necessary. Your comfort level is important, and we want you to be sure you are ready to move on. A longer stay at a Resurgence facility will reduce the chance of relapse.

30 Day (Short Term)

Our minimum suggested time in rehab is our short-term, 30-day program. This is recommended for those who need professional guidance, but do not have a high risk of relapsing. With our short-term program, you will still have a full month away from temptations and old habits, with therapy, education, and relaxation, so you can re-train your brain and figure out the best way to return to life, and what changes need to be made so you can live confidently in recovery.

Long Term Rehab (60-90 days)

The structured daily living of a Resurgence rehab facility is an excellent lifestyle for those who are struggling with addiction. We create a framework for our patients, where you can be sure you are safe and have the space and time to heal your mind, body, and spirit.

At Resurgence, our long-term rehab programs are recommended to anybody who has a history of relapse, or anybody who wants or needs the extra time to really work on themselves, work through trauma or mental health issues and get a plan together for their future.

In our community-oriented environment, with guidance from our highly-trained professionals, you will have a positive and restorative experience as you gain skills and tools for life in recovery. The longer any of our patients stay in residential rehab, the lower their risk of relapse becomes.

Couples Rehab

Sometimes couples will find that using drugs or alcohol has become the only way they can relate to one another. They may not enjoy each other’s company or being physically intimate while sober, and addiction may have caused an increase in fighting and money issues. You may find yourself enabling your partner in ways like blaming others or making excuses for reckless, devious, or violent behavior, exploiting people financially or emotionally, and prioritizing the addiction over important events or responsibilities. In this situation, you may find yourself calling in sick for your partner when they are high or hungover, or not telling the truth to law enforcement about your loved one.

When addiction gets in the way of your relationship, it can cause emotional distance, and make you forget what is truly important in life. Even if you are both in love and committed to your relationship, drugs and alcohol can get in the way and cause an emotional rift that makes it difficult to work on issues, have rational discussions and feel the same love for one another that you used to.

Some signs you may benefit from couples therapy include:

When these situations show up and emotional distance grows, a cycle of more drug use and dependency can begin. At Resurgence, we offer couples rehabilitation, meaning you and your spouse or loved one can rehabilitate together. You will attend substance abuse therapies and counseling on your own, and also receive couples therapy together, where you will work on the health and strength of your relationship, and learn how to get sober and be supportive to one another.

Even if only one person in a couple has an addiction, couples rehab can help. During our Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, in which medications are provided to relieve withdrawal symptoms, the non-addicted partner can learn how to best support their loved one. Couples therapy is also beneficial, so both partners can learn about communication, triggers, and how to achieve a long-term and healthy recovery, promoting healthy growth moving forward.

Couples therapy will help you repair the damage that has been done to your relationship, and help you avoid further financial trouble, emotional distance, and declining mental health, declining physical health. We can help you end the cycle of substance abuse.

In behavioral therapy sessions, you will address addiction issues, and you will learn to support one another as a couple. These sessions will give you new ways to interact with one another, increasing the positivity in your relationship. Other benefits of attending couples rehab include:

You will have individual time as well to work on yourself through one-on-one psychotherapy, behavioral therapy sessions, and any life skills or vocational training you choose to do. There is the option to attend 12-step or SMART group therapy, and these can continue on long after you transition to outpatient care and beyond.

At Resurgence, you and your partner will enjoy the amenities and the peace of our rehab facility away from the stress of your everyday life. You will learn to appreciate one another again while also learning new ways to communicate and gaining a positive framework for life after treatment as a sober couple.

Pet-friendly rehab

For many people, leaving a pet behind is unthinkable, and so owning a pet may become a barrier for those who want to enter a rehabilitation program. At Resurgence, we allow pets. This takes away the worry of either finding a trustworthy person to take your animal for a long period of time or having to pay to board them. Missing your pet or wondering how they are doing can also be an unneeded distraction, causing you to want to rush through your rehabilitation.

With your animal by your side, you will have emotional support and companionship. Pets provide unconditional love and stress relief. They can also provide a sense of purpose and improve your feelings of self-worth, and you will know they are doing just fine as they are by your side.

Does my insurance have coverage for rehab?

Rehab and mental health services are covered by insurance thanks to the Affordable Care Act of 2010 and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equality Act. We encourage you to speak with your insurance provider before entering our facility to find out which treatments and medications are covered under your plan.

Contact us at any time to find out more about insurance coverage, costs, and payment plans.
