Our Frankley students have been working hard learning various techniques to help them survive in water. We are all looking forward to showcasing these skills at Highlands on Monday 23rd March. There is no postponement date. Please note the Highlands pool is heated.

Kahikatea and Tūhono will be departing school by bus at 9.30am to travel to Highlands Intermediate. We aim to begin our Swimming Display at 10.10 am. Approximate event times below:

1. 10:10 Competitive Length Races
2. Demonstration of water safety/survival & fun width relays

• Yr 6 10:45 - 11:30
• Yr 5 11:30 - 12:15
• Yr 4 12:15 - 1:00

3. Bombing & Diving Competitions 1:00 - 1:30
4. Free Swim 1:30 - 2:00
5. Leave on buses at 2.25pm to return to school.

We would like all students to take part in the demonstration of water safety skills. Those students capable of swimming one length of the Highlands pool will be asked to enter the competitive races. The competitive races are optional.

Children will need:

• Warm clothing for in between events
• 2x towels
• Sunhat, rash shirt & sunscreen
• Large morning tea and lunch, large drink bottle of water

We look forward to seeing as many people as possible joining us at the Highlands Pool.

At the conclusion of the events if you wish to take your child home please let the classroom teacher know before leaving.
