An applicant must be a resident of one of the following school districts: AuSable Valley, Boquet Valley Central School District, Crown Point, Indian Lake, Keene, Lake Placid, Long Lake, Minerva, Moriah, Newcomb, Saranac, Saranac Lake, Schroon Lake, St. Regis Falls, Ticonderoga, Tupper Lake, or Willsboro or must reside in the Northeast portion of the Adirondack Park as defined in our Certificate of Incorporation. Students must attend an accredited college or trade or technical school on a full-time basis, taking at least 12 credit hours per semester.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation offers scholarship opportunities to students currently pursuing, or planning to pursue an undergraduate degree or career-focused program. The foundation is the nation's oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military families, and their mission is to provide scholarship support to every eligible child of a Marine or Navy Corpsmen. 2019 El Dabe Ritter Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,500

This scholarship is now available to any high school senior in the United States that desires to apply. In order to apply for this scholarship, we request you write a 500+ word essay on why having a higher education is important. We’d like to learn more about you as a student, and how you’ve persevered and fought to get the education you want. Tell us about one challenge, and how it has prepared you for the challenges you face as a student. The scholarship can be used for any form of school related expenses. We will not verify how it’s used.

This scholarship will be awarded in the 2020 Fall Semester and there is no application fee.

Hudson Mohawk Area Health Education Center Scholarships:

The Hudson Mohawk Area Health Education Center, known as Hudson Mohawk AHEC, will be awarding scholarships of $500 each to high school seniors entering an approved healthcare related program at a local community college, university or a certificate program. Applicants must be a graduating senior from a high school within the Hudson Mohawk AHEC ten-county service region, which includes: Albany, Essex, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington counties. The previous year’s recipients are also eligible to re-apply.

All applications must be returned no later than 12:00 noon, on Monday, April 6th, 2019.

Ned Carter Memorial Scholarship:

In keeping with Ned’s lifelong dedication to community service and helping others, this

scholarship will be presented to high school seniors who will be pursuing a career in a

community service related discipline.

Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union:

Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union, is offering local high school seniors a chance to win scholarships for college. TFCU is participating in the New York Credit Union Association’s statewide credit union scholarship program, which provides credit union members with scholarships. In 2019, TFCU awarded $1,500 in college scholarships to three high school seniors. To be eligible, students must be high school seniors attending two- or four-year accredited educational institutions for the first time in the fall of 2020. They must also be members of Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union (soon to be TrailNorth Federal Credit Union effective January 1, 2020). Students/applicants will be competing against other credit union members from across the state. Applicants will be judged based upon academic achievements, extracurricular and community activities and the quality of written essays.

Completed application and supportive materials must be to Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union no later than January 10, 2020.
