Job Title: Hospitality/Restaurant Operations Manager

Job Description: Wooden Legs Brewing Company is looking for a hospitality professional to lead our tap room and kitchen staff in day-to-day operations. The Restaurant Operations Manager assumes overall responsibility for the running of the pub and kitchen, and would be primarily responsible for all front-of-house team management, organization, and direction that comprise the "customer experience."

Management requirements would include staff scheduling, employee training, hiring of pubkeeps and cooks, imposing discipline when necessary (to include being empowered to make on-the-spot staffing employment decisions), overseeing team communication to staff and customers, and serving as a liaison between owners and the staff.

Tap room operations include oversight of cleaning, stocking, customer service, and till count-in.  Responsibilities would also include beer operations: ordering and returns of guest beers, requests to brew staff for in-house beers.  

NO BREWING EXPERIENCE NEEDED, but general knowledge of craft beer highly preferred.

Kitchen operations would include inventory and ordering, menu creation, and general oversight of cooking staff: prep work, cooking, cleaning, kitchen maintenance and kitchen log upkeep.

Requirements for administering events hosted in adjoining space include booking and billing, providing recommendations for event marketing, overseeing set-up and break-down/clean-up, and managing beer and food orders to accommodate events.

Above all, the main duty of a Restaurant Operations Manager is make sure that the bar operates efficiently and the customers are happy and satisfied with the quality of service they are receiving. This job requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal team members in a friendly manner. WLBC looks for energetic and motivated workers during the hiring process.  Preference will be given to individuals that are in the industry.

Additional duties include coordinating with owners and administrative staff to help with festival and event planning, creating or updating pub and kitchen operational manuals, tracking bar and restaurant budgets and expenses, and communicating with external creative service providers. May also be involved in monitoring activity and posting content for an organization’s social media channels.

Specific job duties include:

Hours: The hours required will vary based on project load, but will generally fall between 40 and 60 hours a week. There will be some on-call hours.

Starting Wage: Starting salary depends on experience.

Starting Date: Position set to begin December 2018
