     Fall 2021 School Climate Survey

Dear Parents and Guardians:

We need your student’s help in determining ways to maintain and improve our school climate and culture of learning. To gain feedback from students, they will take a short School Climate Survey. This survey includes questions about student experiences with different aspects of our schools’ educational environment, including teaching and learning, relationships, and safety. Student input and responses give us important information to make their school even better.

Beginning Monday, November 29, 2021, all Clay County students will complete the School Climate Survey for their school. The survey is completely anonymous and brief; it contains no more than 19 questions and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Students will take the survey online in one of their classes prior to Friday, December 10th. The nationally vetted survey questions come from PBIS (Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning). If you would like to review the questions, you may do so by clicking here.

All responses are completely anonymous. No identifying information will be connected to your student’s answers, and results will only be reported as group responses. There are no right or wrong answers. If your student feels providing certain demographic information would identify them as an individual, they may select “I prefer not to answer.”

We are looking forward to gaining feedback from our students. With their help, we will be able to assess perceptions and identify areas of strength and areas of opportunity. The safety, well-being, and success of our students continues to be our top priority.

Respectfully,

David Broskie, Superintendent
