New Features of Moodle 2021-22
Missed what was new last year?
Legacy browsers with known compatibility issues with Moodle 3.9
(Augsburg computers should already have new, compatible versions of all browsers):
The activity chooser now has an admin-customisable display with options to recommend activities and resources. Teachers can star frequently-used items.
New Quickmail features in 2021 Moodle:
The Sharing Cart is a block for duplicating course items into a personal library and an easy way to move those Moodle resources and activities between multiple courses. With just three clicks, the Sharing Cart copies and moves a single course item (assignment, forum, etc) from one course to another. It copies without user data—similar to the “Import” function in Course Administration, with the added benefit that you can choose where to put the copy in your new course. The Sharing Cart is viewable only by teachers, course creators and administrators.
Operation
Safe Exam Browser is a customised web browser, available for Windows (7, 8.1, 10), macOS (starting 10.7, recommended 10.11 or newer) and iOS (9.3.5 or newer). The application must be downloaded and installed on the device that the student uses to attempt the quiz. The restrictions placed on students are similar to those in the quiz Extra restrictions on attempts, but because Safe Exam Browser is software running on the student's computer, it can do a much more effective job of restricting their actions.

The Participants page can be accessed from the Administration block, Users, Enrolled users. The filter at the top left of the Participants screen allows for filtering by period of activity, enrollment method, group, role, and status:
Grade items (entered directly in gradebook setup) can now be duplicated. Activities must still be duplicated on the course page.
Quickly navigate to the top of your Moodle course by clicking the arrow on the bottom right of your Moodle page.
