Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Textcaster available!

Arrests and Reports 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of January 23, 2024 through January 29, 2024  

January 23, 2024- St. Clair County deputies received a call at Appleton City High School in regards to a juvenile. Investigation is ongoing.

January 23, 2024- St. Clair County deputies received a call from another agency in regards to endangering the welfare of a child. Investigation is ongoing.

January 23, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northwest 451 Road, Lowry City in regards to shots being fired. Bryan Gurley was arrested and charged with Unlawful Use of Weapon. Bond is $30,000 cash only.

January 24, 2024- St. Clair County deputies conducted a traffic stop on Old 13 Highway, Collins, resulting in the arrest of Joseph Batchelor. Joseph is being charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

January 25, 2024- St. Clair County deputies arrested Harry Tiller at the Greene County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance and two Osceola Police Department warrants for Driving While Revoked/Suspended and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond is $15,000 cash surety on St. Clair County warrant and $534.50 cash only on Osceola Police Department warrants.

January 26, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to West 4th Street in Appleton City for a report of damage to property. Deputies took a report of damage to a soda machine and the investigation is ongoing.

January 27, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to North Ohio Street in Appleton City for a report of assault. Information was taken and a report was made.

January 28th, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast 1131 Road, Humansville, for a report of property damage. Vehicle went through the reporting party’s fence. Informational report was taken.

January 28th, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to a walk-in at the Sheriff’s Office in regards to trespassing on Northeast 450 Road, Osceola. Suspects removed a game camera from the property. Investigation is ongoing.

January 29, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to a call regarding a vehicle that left the scene of an accident in Eldorado Springs. Deputies were patrolling on 82 Highway when a vehicle passed at an excessive speed. Suspect was pulled over and Highway Patrol assisted in the arrest of Haiden Overton. Haiden is being charged by St. Clair County for Exceeded Posted Speed Limit (Exceeded by 20 – 25 Miles Per Hour).

January 29, 2024- St. Clair County deputies arrested John Sieleman II at the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office on a St. Clair County warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and a Bates County warrant for Failure to Appear-Non-Support. Bond is $10,000 cash surety on St. Clair County warrant and $300 cash only on Bates County warrant.
