PROTOCOL FOR VIRAL RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES INCLUDING

COVID-19, INFLUENZA AND RSV

Vaccination

● All students and staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

● All students and staff are strongly encouraged to stay up to date with COVID booster

doses and annual influenza vaccination.

Staying Home if Symptomatic

● Students and staff who develop symptoms of respiratory viral infections, not explained

by another cause should stay home and away from others.

● Symptoms may include

○ Fever

○ Chills

○ Fatigue

○ Cough

○ Runny nose

○ Headache

Return to Normal Activity

Students and staff may return to school when both of the following are true for greater than 24hrs

● Symptoms are getting better overall and

● Are fever free without the use of fever reducing medications

● Extra precautions should be taken during the following 5 days when around others

○ Masking

○ Physical distancing

○ Testing
