Dear Parents,

Welcome back - we hope you enjoyed a restful break. Thank you to all who sent in toiletries for our Giving Project - what a joy it is to give. So many people will be blessed by your generosity.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Monday, January 15

No school - all facilities are closed in observance.

End of Semester 1 - Friday, January 19

Friday January 19th is the last day of Quarter 2. Report cards will be emailed home the following Wednesday.

Preview Night - Tuesday, January 23 @ 7PM

Mark this date on your calendar. We would love all of our current and alumni parents/families to attend this exciting event as we present our mission, vision and goals for TCS. Awesome things are in the works in Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

Congratulations to Abraham Daniel for being chosen as the Student of the Month!  Abraham was chosen by his classmates for the “kindness, diligence, and humility.”  His peers stated that he is very kind and helpful, diligent in completing his work, and very hard-working.  Abraham received his favorite Starbucks drink and a free homework pass!  


High School Teachers


Bible (Mr. Ortiz):

We will be going through Lesson 13 “Jesus, The Master Teacher”. The scripture quiz this week is Proverbs 3:1-13.

English (Mrs. Johnson):

This week in grammar, we will continue to study the many types of adjectives.  In literature, students are studying theme within short stories.


Geometry (Mrs. Daniel): Students will complete lessons 61-63 with a Cumulative Test on Friday.

*Geometry students need a graphing calculator.

Algebra I (Mrs. Daniel):  Students will complete lessons 61-63 with a Cumulative Test on Friday.   *Algebra students need a scientific calculator.

Pre-Algebra (Mr. Burris): Students will complete lessons 45-49 this week.

*Students who score a C or lower on any assignment or test must do corrections by the next test date.

Foreign Language :

Please check the progress of your student on a regular basis.  Students are expected to work independently on their foreign language class and to follow the due dates of every assignment.   Encourage them to practice, practice, practice!

Science (Mrs. Daniel):

Students will study chapter 9, “Thermodynamics.”    *Students must bring a calculator to class every day.  There are many formulas that require the use of a calculator.

Music (Dr. Muntean):

Review Chords.
