A/C Transit and BART
A/C Transit runs three bus lines that drop off directly in front of the school.

Daily Schedule
From San Leandro BART: 7:30AM / 8:05AM in passenger Drop Off/Pick up Area.
To San Leandro Bart: 3:10PM / 3:40PM and 6:15PM from the yellow curb alongside the Theater
Special Schedules (Early Dismissal Days): 1:10PM/3:10PM/6:15PM from the yellow curb alongside the Theater
Any change in schedules other than Early Dismissals will be posted here.
Spring Finals -
AC Transit 680 and 682 buses will remain on their regular schedule. This means that morning pick-up will be unaffected. However, finals end between 1:00-1:45pm and the 680 and 682 will pick up at their usual afternoon time of 3:15pm.
For students who want an earlier public transportation option, O'Dowd's BART and Zoo Shuttle will depart at 1:15pm and 2:00pm for San Leandro BART and the Oakland Zoo.
If your student is not a regular BART shuttle rider, they need to submit a signed participation form to Gerald Bennett in the Transportation Office or the Main Office. If you have any questions regarding BART, please contact Gerald Bennett at (510) 577-9100, ext. 193.
Note: there will be no 3:30pm or 6:15pm BART Shuttles during finals week.
Missing the Shuttle in the Morning: BOD will make every attempt to keep the shuttle on schedule. Students who miss the 8:05AM shuttle will need to call (510) 717-6118 or the Main Office at (510) 577-9100 to request a late pickup.
Missing the Shuttle in the Afternoon: BOD will make every attempt to keep the shuttle on
schedule. Students who miss the 3:40PM or the 6:15PM shuttle should advise our security
guard on duty and call their parents to arrange a ride.
Behavior Rules: Riding the BOD shuttle is a privilege. It is the responsibility of each student to
act in a mature and civil manner at all times. School policies apply to all students who ride the
BOD shuttle.
Specific guidelines concerning student conduct are as follows:
- Students must obey the directions of the driver at all times
- No eating or drinking is allowed on the shuttle
- Objects may not be thrown in or out of the shuttle or school van
- No moving about while the shuttle is moving
Dropping off, Picking up, & Parking on Campus
To complement our campus-wide sustainability efforts, we encourage students to take public transportation. We provide assigned campus parking spaces for SENIORS ONLY on our main campus and in our lower lot. Spots are assigned through a lottery, and cost $230 annually.

Satellite Lot: Oakland Zoo!
O’Dowd now offers FREE satellite parking at the Oakland Zoo, with convenient shuttle service to campus between 7:45-8:20am and 3:00-3:30pm. Keep your car safe and secure in this private lot and never have to worry about finding parking again. To sign up, look for the application email in student’s O’Dowd email account from Ms. Donahue in July.
Neighborhood Parking
We strongly discourage students from parking in the neighborhood. It is not safe, and it creates many complications for our neighbors. Please consider public transportation or other forms of ridesharing.
Carpooling
Each August, families interested in carpooling can complete a survey. The results of the survey will only be shared with other families who also completed the survey. Once shared, you can find families located near you to organize a carpool. If you are interested in starting a carpool, please email elunde@bishopodowd.org.
