LOm Code of Conduct
LOm is committed to organising events and running facilities to be enjoyed by everyone, and supporting general well-being, openness and security regardless of social background, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, ethnicity, nationality, or religion or other belief.
LOm will not tolerate any form of harassment. Any violation of the LOm Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary actions, such as ban to attend events organised by LOm or restriction of access to any or all the LOm sections.
Please follow these guidelines within all LOm facilities and during any events organised by LOm:
- Behave appropriately. Sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate. Harassment will not be tolerated. Harassment includes unwelcome physical contact, sexual attention or innuendo, deliberate intimidation, stalking, sustained interruptions, and photography or video of an individual or group without consent. It also includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, ethnicity, or religion.
- Remember that Lappis is a multicultural place. All communication should be considerate of an audience with many different backgrounds and histories.
- Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees.
- It is everyone’s responsibility to resolve conflicts maturely and as soon as possible. Most conflicts can be resolved by dialogue, on the spot. If a LOm representative is present, ask them to mediate the interaction.
- When asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour, you are expected to comply immediately. Anybody violating these rules will be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of the organisers. Failure to comply may result in the event organiser calling security or police.
In case the Board becomes aware of any kind of misbehaviour and at least one Board member deems any allegations as severe enough, the Board will meet with all parties involved in the conflict, within two weeks. The meeting does not necessarily have to be in person and different parties can be heard on separate occasions.
The Board will then take a decision, which might also include a temporary or permanent ban from attending events or accessing LOm premises.
