Privacy Policy for In Private Mode

Last updated: September 21, 2025

Thank you for using In Private Mode, a Chrome Extension that allows users to view LinkedIn profiles anonymously, switch browsing modes, and control what others see when visiting their profiles.

Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect or store any personal Linkedin data from users.
The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not transmit or share any LinkedIn data, or login information to any external servers.

Specifically, we do not collect LinkedIn credentials, usernames, or passwords. The only Linkedin data handled is the local setting you choose within the extension (e.g., “Private Mode” or “Visible Mode”). These preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome’s local storage API and are never sent to us or any third party.

2. How We Use Information

Because we do not collect users’ LinkedIn data, there is no personal Linkedin information to process or share.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any data to outside parties.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our extension is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.

5. Your Rights

Since In Private Mode does not collect personal data, there is no stored information to access, correct, or delete. If you uninstall the extension, all locally stored settings are automatically removed.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or compliance updates.
When changes occur, the “Last updated” date above will be modified accordingly.
