While the beef mixture is simmering, arrange the tortilla chips on a foil covered, greased baking sheet
Add beans, seasoning, and tomato sauce to beef mixture
Spoon the hot mixture over the chips.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and transfer to the preheated oven.
Heat the nachos for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is lightly browned.
Place the baking sheet of nachos on a cooling rack on the center of your table and serve with sour cream and salsa. Other condiments, such as, jalapeños and sliced black olives can be used, if desired.
