Isaac Gaitan - It is with great sadness that the family of Isaac Gaitan announces his passing after a short illness. Isaac Gaitan, 88, had a long life and experienced the best life had to offer and the worse as well. He was a very social man and made friends everywhere. He worked many jobs all over Texas; and eventually settled at Bay Limited for several years and retired at age 70. Hard workers work up an appetite, and Mr. Gaitan enjoyed food, especially spicy food. Chili and chili peppers were as common on his table as salt and pepper. A true Texan at heart, he enjoyed watching "La Lucha" wrestling and of course, the Dallas Cowboys. A man of strong convictions, pride, and a delightful sense of humor, he will be long remembered and greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters, the last of his generation; and also by his son, Robert Fuentes Gaitan; and second wife, Sarah Oballe Gaitan. He was survived by their children, Adelmira Espinosa, Leonard and Isaac Gaitan, and most recently by his wife of 22 years Maria Rodriguez Gaitan and her children, Mauricio, Ricky, Becky and George; and was also survived by his loving niece, Patsy Reyes. Isaac was also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a holy rosary being recited at 2 p.m. at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas. A special appreciation to his nephew, Ernesto Duque from California, who often would make Isaac's day.

Evita "Eva" Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at the age of 86. She passed away peacefully in her sleep as she entered into heaven. As a young lady, she had a love for music, singing, and playing the guitar. Old style and mariachi music is what was heard in the house all the time. It was what the family grew up with as she would tell them when you sing you are praying to God twice. Many knew her from her years at Yeats Nursery where she became "Meme" to many. Her love for plants, gardening, and helping others revive their almost drying plants were results of her amazing green thumb. She loved to have her house full of plants and flowers as displayed by her decorations every season. A true love she had with her beloved Frank. After leaving the nursery, she went to work for Odem's Day Care where everyone there knew her as "Ms. Abby." The young kids, now adults, still remember "Ms. Abby" when they would see her. All that knew her had the opportunity of seeing the love she had for sports. Eva was an avid Dallas Cowboy, San Antonio Spurs, and Texas Baseball fan, where her competition ad discussions with her children on players' stats and game plays were known better by her than any umpire or referee. "You could just ask her." Her baking and cooking was beyond imagination. Eva was well known for her pan de polvo and oatmeal cookies both of which she shared with everyone. Every holiday she made plates for all the neighbors and friends to enjoy. She was spreading the love and calories as she shared. Her flower skills did not stop as she continued to make floral arrangements for friends, family, and her house. It was her talent and she wanted to share it with everyone. Eva is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gonzales; her daughter, Diana Gonzales; her parents, Gilberto and Juanita Rendon and Linda Sue Polderman. Eva is survived by her children: Norma Jean (Oscar) Rivera, David (Melinda) Gonzales, Frank, Jr.; sisters, Elia Gonzales and Mary Villarreal; her brother, Manuel Espinosa; seven grandchildren, Sabrina Gonzales being her daily shadow, and six great grandchildren. Jenny “Lynn” Israel, a devoted wife, mother, and friend, was greeted with the long-awaited welcome of “Well done, good and faithful servant” on March 31, 2023, at the age of 57, surrounded by her family. Lynn was a woman of unwavering faith, whose love, kindness and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. Lynn was born on March 28, 1966, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She would spend her early years in Corpus Christi, Texas, until settling in to call Sinton, Texas her home where she would quickly become an integral and active part of the community. Lynn married her husband, Marty, in 1991 and they were constant companions for 32 years. They cherished their time together and sought to glorify the Lord in every aspect of life, as partners in business, loving parents to their children and friends to their community. Lynn was faithful and consistent no matter the circumstances, always willing to come along for the ride and offer a kind word and a warm smile. She committed her life to being a mother to her son, Oscar, and daughter, McKenzie. As their biggest supporter, she loved her children unconditionally and they formed an unbreakable bond that will last forever. She was a mother to many and had a way of making everyone feel loved and known. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and lived to glorify Him. She dedicated her life to serving others and was a tangible example of Christ’s love. Because of her faithfulness, many came to know and follow Jesus. Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Marty Israel, her son, Oscar Israel, her daughter, McKenzie Jackson, and son-in-law, Ryan Jackson. Her family was her greatest joy. Although she leaves a void that can never be filled, Lynn’s legacy of love and kindness will live on. We take comfort in knowing that she is now with her Heavenly Father, and we look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her in heaven. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home in Papalote, Texas on April 15th at 1:00pm for friends and family. In the weeks to come, the family will be planting a shade tree in her honor. The family asks that you consider making a donation to the "Memorial shade tree" fund, which has been set up in Lynn's memory. You can contribute at: https://everloved.com/life-of/jenny-israel/. If you would like to send flowers in Lynn’s honor, the family requests spring-inspired flowers and notes be sent to The Israel Family at: 1628 County Road 631, Sinton, Texas 78387.
