Equipment Locker Information 2025-2026
Your assigned equipment locker can be found using the locker number and combination link below.  This Google Sheet has two tabs.  The document below is where you can find your Student ID, your locker number and location, as well as the combination if you have an auditorium hallway locker. Some students will find that they have two lockers in order to accommodate an instrument and marching band items. You may begin to use your locker on Monday, August 11. We will again be storing band equipment in three areas this year.
- The instrument storage locker area next to the band room (Area A)
- The cabinets in the band room just next to the instrument storage locker area, and the cabinets in the band room on the wall near the woodwind room (Area B)
- The school lockers in the hallway outside the band room/auditorium (Area D)
It is important that students understand that there are many reasons why the locker and combination you have been assigned may not work on the first day.  There could be:
- A mechanical issue with the lock or locker
- Difficulties entering the combination
- Your student ID was not correct in our records
- Information accidentally became switched in our documents or a number was entered incorrectly for your ID or locker combination
Please have patience if your locker does not work properly.  You may place your equipment in the woodwind room if your locker does not work on the first A or B-day.  Once you realize there is an issue with your locker complete the Locker Issue Google Form Linked Below.  Mr. Hinson may or may not be able to fix locker issues on the first two days of school.  Please fill out the google form and await a response if you are having an issue.  We have over 350 lockers issued and there will most likely be some issues. Locker issues will only be addressed using the google form. If you do not need one or both of the lockers assigned to you, please use the “Locker Issues” form as well to opt out of a locker so that it is available for another student.
Complete this form if you have an issue with your locker, you are in need of a different locker setup (if available), or if you do not need a locker that has been assigned to you.
*You will need to be using your Mason City Schools Google account to view these links.
Band Storage Locker Guidelines
Students are reminded that the use of band lockers is a privilege.  Students must follow all guidelines related to band lockers in order to continue to retain the privilege of band locker use. Band is one of very few organizations at the high school that has retained locker privileges as these have been phased out over the last 5 years. Please do your part to ensure we can continue to utilize these areas for students.
- Band storage lockers in the four areas listed above may only be accessed before school, after school, and during band class. Students may not use band room/storage room lockers in between other classes or before/after lunch (there are band classes during lunch).
- If you are ever accessing your band locker at a time there is a band class in session, please use the small commons side band room entrance and do not disrupt the class in session.
- Vandalism and/or Horseplay involving another student’s locker will result in immediate loss of locker privileges for the rest of the school year (these areas are monitored by the school cameras).
- In the mornings, students should drop off their equipment and then leave the band storage room area. Please do not congregate in the band storage room before school, as it becomes difficult to access.
- Students are able to meet with their friends before the school day in the large or small commons after equipment has been dropped off.
- Students may not share their locker with other band or non-band students.
- Students should only store band equipment in their lockers due to not having access during the school day.
- Do not leave food or other items that could potentially spoil in your locker for long periods of time. Doing so will result in loss of locker privileges for safety/health reasons.
- Band storage room lockers do not have a MCS provided combination lock on them due to most students not utilizing them in previous years.
- If you would like to have a combination lock for your locker, students are allowed to provide your own. However, the student must be responsible for tracking the combination or key on their own.
