How to connect “IITH” Wi-Fi in Windows 7

Note: To delete the previous setting: open command prompt / CMD (Run as Administrator) and type the following in command prompt:
netsh wlan delete profile name=”IITH”
- Click on the WI-FI symbol in the bottom right corner of your desktop screen denoted by vertical bars.

- Click on Open network and sharing Center (right Click for Windows 8)

- Click on Setup a new connection or network

- Select Manually connect to a wireless network and click Next

- Enter Network Name IITH Security type WAP2-Enterprise and Encryption type as AES

- Click on Change connection settings

- Go to security tab and click in settings

- Uncheck Validate server certificate, Enable fast reconnect and click on configure

- Uncheck the option Automatically use my windows logon name and password

- Click on OK

- Click on Advanced settings

- Check the option Specify authentication mode: and select user authentication and click on save credentials

- Enter the username and password mailed to you and click OK. Pl. do NOT enter your LDAP credentials here.

- Click OK

- Click on Connect to a network

- Click on connect to IITH network

- The connection is established
- Once it is connected give the proxy setting in the browser to get the internet
