Tournament Format and Seeding

It will be a double
elimination style tournament with seeding based on skill level. Skill level will be determined by the player during registration.

(We are trusting in the goodwill of participants during registration that they will not claim to be in a skill bracket that they are not, in order to obtain an unfair advantage for seeding.
This will help ensure a fun and fair experience for all who are participating.)

There will be a max of 32 players, if there is a lack of players to fill all 32 slots we will fill in byes accordingly. If the total is closer to 16, we will move to a 16-person tournament.

Every round except for Losers finals, Winners finals, and Grand finals will be Best of 3 format. Previously mentioned rounds will be Best of 5.

Grand finals will have a reset opportunity. What this means is that if the Winners Bracket winner were to lose to the Losers Bracket winner in the Grand finals, they must then play an additional set.

(This keeps the tournament consistent on a double elimination basis. Everyone must lose twice to be knocked out of the tournament.)

Map Pool Pick and Ban Process

Every round will have a separate pool of maps to pick and ban from. Some rounds of the Winners and Losers bracket will share map pools.

Map pools will be listed in the tab of this document named "Map Pool".
The difficulty of the map pool will be based off of the skill level of the pre-registered competitors.

Picks and bans for each round will be done in the following manner:

Best of 3 - Pool of 5 Songs

Song 1 - Low Seed Ban

Song 2 - High Seed Ban

Song 3 - Low Seed Pick

Song 4 - High Seed Pick

Song 5 - Remaining Song - Tiebreaker

Best of 5 - Pool of 9 Songs

Song 1 - Low Seed Ban

Song 2 - High Seed Ban

Song 3 - Low Seed Pick

Song 4 - High Seed Pick

Song 5 - High Seed Ban

Song 6 - Low Seed Ban

Song 7 - Low Seed Pick

Song 8 - High Seed Pick

Song 9 - Remaining Song - Tiebreaker

(There will be no set tiebreaker for the map pools. Players will pick and ban until there is only 1 map left. That map, then becomes the tiebreaker for that match.)

Prize Support

$300.00 Grand prize for the 1st place winner
Additional prizes and gift certificates will be given out to 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners
