Directions: Use this worksheet while reading to help you better understand and retain the information.

Before Reading:

Preview the text and write down any key vocabulary words that you think will be important to understand.
Write down any predictions you have about the text.

2 During Reading:

As you read, write down any questions you have about the text.
Write down key vocabulary words and their definitions as you come across them.
Write down any new predictions you have about the text.
Summarize the main idea of the text in your own words.

3 After Reading:

Review the information on the worksheet.
