The library in Reynolda House, Winston-Salem, North Carolina

A spacious room, decorated with tasteful restraint. The walls are adorned with intricate dental moldings and hand-carved columns. Built-in bookcases line the walls, with cabinets below. The wood floor is covered with embroidered area rugs. There are several conversation areas, the primary being a large sofa with a complimentary chair. A fireplace with marble hearth is at SR. A desk with a side chair is at DR. A dictaphone sits on the desk. There are two telephones: A house line for estate calls, and an external line.

There are three entrances to the library: at SR, a single door leads to the study and washroom. At SL, a set of pocket doors open to the Great Hall. At USC, a set of frosted-glass French doors open to the conservatory and indoor pool. Manicured gardens visible through the windows. A butler's cart with coffee service is nearby.
