- Page 1: Flamingtext fonts site
- Use this new Fonts site (which a student shared with me a while back) for your Title: 1.4n Notebook
- Skitch the settings to your slide
- Try at least 3 styles to add to your page
- Skitch the text settings window for your favorite style onto your page. Try the different tabs in settings to customize the features of the font.
- There are 38 or so pages of designs with many variations of each available and some of them are animated, so make sure you look around to find some cool examples that you like!

- Use Screencast-o-matic to record how to open up your most recent file in your Recent Drive.
- Try to keep your recording to around 5-10 seconds so the file isn’t too large!

- Explore some 3D sketch examples
- Create some 3D sketches of your own and rotate them using Sketchtoy
- Practice using Screencast-O-Matic to record your 3D sketches as they draw themselves
- Page 7: Chrome Extensions
- Add 6 extensions and 1 app which we will use in class to your Chrome Browser
- Here are the steps
- Open the Chrome Extensions List: https://goo.gl/uAW2X4
- Highlight and copy all of the cells with text in them (and none of the blank cells) like you see in the gif below… then paste them onto page 3 of your notebook
- Click the links in each of the green highlighted boxes to add each extension
- Skitch your extensions bar (which shows the extensions you’ve added) onto your slide. This will show that you’ve added them
- Your completed page 3 should look something  like this, and should have these 3 things on it
- A table with links that work
- A Skitch of your Chrome Extensions Bar to show the extensions you’ve added
- A title: Chrome using your favorite font tool:  Favorite Fonts / Gzaas / Flaming text
- Page 8: Sketchtoy
- To rotate your screen in Sketchtoy, use the left and right arrow keys or hold the spacebar down and left-click-drag right or left (best for fine-turning your screen!)
- Create 2 designs of your own. Click the save button and copy the links to paste in your notebook
- Use SOM to record your links as they play

- Here are some of my examples of sketches
- Use Screencast-o-matic to record your completed 3D sketches while rotating them and save the recordings as gifs for your slide. To rotate your screen in Sketchtoy, use the left and right arrow keys or hold the spacebar down and left-click-drag right or left (best for fine-turning your screen!). Screencast-o-matic which should now be in your Start/Recent Programs List, but if you haven’t installed it yet, here’s another link:
- Download and install Screencast-o-matic if you don’t already have it: SOM v1.4 download
- Add these things to your page 2 (like you see in my example):
- A title: Sketchtoy using Flamingtext: http://www5.flamingtext.com/All-Logos
- Short (10-15 second) screencasts of your Sketch toys drawing themselves
- Use the 800x600 setting for your SOM record window size
