The Admissions process at the Henry Barnard School is designed to allow you and your family to get to know us better, and to determine if we can meet the unique needs of your child. For the current academic year, we will be enrolling students based on space availability. For more information or to arrange a school visit or tour, contact:
Mr. Paul Janaway
Director of Admissions and Strategic Affairs
Preschoolers are screened for three-year-old and four-year-old openings, a 1-1/2 hour visit that allows us to see your child interact with other children and teachers. Kindergarteners are also screened, and invitations to those screenings may be based on lottery number.
Applications for first through fifth grades are received at any time, and admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, according to vacancies at the grade level. Learners spend a day at Henry Barnard; and based on assessment results, observations of the day, work brought from their current school, and transcripts, invitations to attend are extended. At all grade levels, preference is given to siblings of current learners.
If your family is interested in joining this special community, we encourage you to submit an application to begin the admissions process.
