What I do: I look at the aftermath of highly energetic beams of particles for new or exotic forms of matter. These new forms of matter could help us understand big questions about the universe -- like the unknown nature of dark matter, the feebleness of gravity, the predominance of matter over anti-matter in our world or the possible unification of forces.

What you will do: Use machine learning techniques to devise optimal methods for identifying exotic particle signatures in simulated data from the Large Hadron Collider.
