Here’s What We Know:
SeeSaw: We have an account through May for anyone interested in piloting the program that creates student-driven digital portfolios. Let me know!
Flocabulary: We still have an AES flocabulary account. It has great videos and good activities. Use your Google email to log in!
PowerSchool Report Card assignment: Please make sure to add your PowerSchool Report Card assignments to your powerschool gradebook. This is an important first step so that the reporting gets to the report card!!
Reporting Standards and Course Overviews: A reminder to check your reporting standards and course overviews. Melissa is collating them and we will send them at the same time to have them uploaded to PowerSchool.
Ask your colleagues about:
Ask Michael H, Christie and Robin about Time-lapse. Their students are studying Cuneiform and had an opportunity to create their own ancient tablets. They time lapsed their work and posted the video and their reflection on their blogs.
Ask Kimberlyn and Tracy about their upcoming Art Show. There are some digital pieces and the show is next week in the Theater lobby gallery!
Ask Kyle about making dice. Michael C is in need of some different types of dice, so Kyle’s makerspace class is learning about sanding and wood-burning.
Let me know if there is something you would like me to include as I know there is so much more going on!!

Staff Wellbeing - Thinking about Self Care
For teachers and other school staff, the workload and pressure tends to mount as the end of term approaches. Here are a couple of resources to help you think about ways to look after your own wellbeing during these last three weeks of semester 1:
Self-Care Bundle [Disclaimer - on the last couple pages which contain Richard Foster’s Guidelines for Simplicity there are some religious references which may not be relevant for some]
If you need support from your counselors, stop by for a chat.
ASIAC Season 2 Students
Please note that the following students will be travelling for ASIAC Season 2. They will miss classes from Thursday, December 6 through Friday, December 7. Please let us know if you have any concerns about a student on this list.
Calling all musicians for the MS teacher Rock Band
It would be cool to play a few Christmas songs for the Tuesday assembly before the break. Send Robb Hoiseth an email if you can play or sing.
On the last day of school before break, we have an assembly before dismissal. There is a traditional skit performed by willing staff members. Please sign up if you are interested. We welcome fun, new ideas as well. For example, we danced to the Swish song last year. Do we want to pick a new song / dance?
Please use this form if you would like to submit a request.
Assembly Request Form You can use this form to let the MSALT2 students know what teacher announcements you would like to make. Please share this information before Friday at 3:30pm each week so they have time to plan for the announcements.
