  1. Chromebook Cart and Golf Cart Quotes
  1. 6 chromebook carts are needed. Teachers brought in 3 different quotes of Chromebook carts. Ranged from $400-$750.
  1. District has confirmed they have no extra chromebook carts that they can give us. Would be ideal to have the district pay for the chromebook carts. Stacey will raise this to Parvin at the next Parent Leadership Council Meeting. In the meantime, it was voted to get the chromebooks now as they have a 2–5-week lead time.
  1. Mr. Staffont sent four different quotes for used golf carts. They ranged from $7,500 to $16,000.
  1. A parent informed us that the high school and middle school have had the district pay for their golf carts in the past. As this is a nice to have, the principal thinks this would be hard to justify getting from the district. Our immediate needs are bathrooms, water fountains, more custodial staff, more librarian hours, more cafeteria staff, etc. All of these will be discussed with facilities at the end of this month.
  2. It was decided to table this topic for now until more information is gathered.
  1. Battle of the Books
  1. Is an optional Fun Reading Incentive Program for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
  2. Students can participate by reading half of the books. They have until the end of April to read books. Grade Level Battles will happen in May. Book lists, summaries and more can be found here:

  2. It was asked when the new gate near the 4th grade classes will open. As there is no supervision there and since it may create traffic at pick-up/drop-off it will likely not open. Facilities also made it clear that it should be for emergencies only.
  3. As our school expands, more custodial support is needed. During our campus clean-up in the spring, we should consider adding cleaning of the classrooms.
  1. We do get additional funding for the new classrooms.
  1. The tree has been removed from the garden and we have a new shed. A grant was received, and we will be installing a sprinkler/drip system. Will schedule the garden/campus clean-up in the Spring once the weather improves.
