Dissenters is hiring a Field Organizer!

This is a full time, remote/in-person hybrid, salaried position. The starting salary range is $50,000 to $60,000/year with full benefits, and may be negotiated for highly experienced applicants.

Dissenters is a national anti-militarism youth organization, with youth members representing over 25 colleges and cities across the country. In our programs to date, we have prioritized the leadership of Black student leaders, and rigorously ensure that a supermajority of our identified student leaders are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), as we build this anti-militarist youth movement.  We are hiring a full-time Field Organizer to provide in-depth support to our new and emerging student leaders to launch and win local strategic direct action campaigns across the country. In addition to remote support, Field Organizers will be expected to travel for in-person chapter visits and trainings 6-7 times per year, as COVID safety protocols allow.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position. Full benefits include 100% employer covered medical, dental and vision insurance, cell phone and home office reimbursement allowances, as well as generous vacation and sick days.

Work Environment

Field Organizers will report to the Organizing Director. This is a remote/in-person hybrid position. Team communications predominantly take place on Zoom, Slack, email, phone, text. Field Organizers will be expected to travel for trainings, conferences, and campus visits as COVID safety protocols allow.
