Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Grace Jordan Elementary.  Grace Jordan provides a safe and positive learning environment.  Our aim is to help all of our learners achieve to their highest potential.  We also believe in teaching students respect, responsibility and safety.  Our staff is committed to treating your child as if he/she is our very own.  We look forward to working with you to provide the best learning atmosphere for all of the students who attend Grace Jordan.

My name is Joan Bigelow and I am the Principal at Grace Jordan.  I have worked in the Boise School District for over twenty five years.  The last five years I have been a principal at another school.  Previously I have worked as an assistant principal, teaching coach, elementary education teacher, and special education teacher.

Communication between home and school is essential.  Please do not hesitate to contact the office or your child’s teacher with questions, concerns and/or suggestions.  We hope you will set aside time each week to read and review school work and the information your child brings home.  In addition, please feel free to access information on our website.

Please use this handbook as a basic reference tool.  If there are questions that remain unanswered, feel free to contact us through e-mail, phone, or just drop by.

Sincerely,

Joan Bigelow

Principal
