The band program at Raymond Central consists of high school band (9-12 grade), 8th grade band, 7th grade band, 6th grade band, and 5th grade band.

Students in the high school band participate in concert band, marching band, jazz band, and athletic pep band. The marching band performs at home football games as well as several marching band contests in the area. The pep band performs at several home volleyball and basketball games. The concert band participates in the school’s Veterans Day program, as well as a winter concert, pops concert, spring concert, District Music Contest, and the graduation ceremony. The high school band has class daily and jazz band meets from 7:00-7:45 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in mid-October.

The junior high bands (6th, 7th, and 8th graders) participate in a fall concert, winter concert, spring concert, and the Malcolm Music Contest. The 8th grade band also joins the high school band for a football game performance as well as the graduation ceremony. Seventh and 8th grade bands have class daily.

Students begin band in 5th grade, with small group lessons once a week and a full band practice once a week starting in the fall. Fifth graders perform at a winter concert and a spring concert.

The Raymond Central band program is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to develop and master the musical skills necessary to engage in life-long, meaningful music-making in a safe and enjoyable environment.
