 Student and Family Handbook

Dear Ruth Asawa School of the Arts Community,

As we come to the end of another week, I want to take a moment to thank our students, families, and staff for the care, creativity, and dedication that continue to define our school each day.

This week, our campus was alive with learning and artistic expression across all departments. From classrooms to studios, rehearsal spaces to performance venues, it has been a joy to see students pushing themselves creatively while supporting one another as artists and learners.

I am grateful to our staff for their commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and artistic growth, and to our families for your ongoing partnership and trust. Your support plays a vital role in making Ruth Asawa SOTA the vibrant and inspiring community it is.

As you head into the weekend, I hope you are able to rest, recharge, and spend time doing what brings you joy. Thank you for all that you do to support our students and our school.

Wishing you a restful weekend.

Warmly,

Principal Kim

**NEW**

Does your student struggle with:

* planning?

* staying on task?

* time management?

* staying motivated?

* organization?

If some, or maybe even all, then there is a space for them to learn more about themselves and build these skills!

FuncLab will take place after school every Thursday. This is a group therapy program through ROSELab; it's designed to build their skills and connect them with people that have the same areas that we all might struggle with.

There will be snacks, activities, and most importantly: a space for them to feel seen.

Have them stop by the counseling office or fill out the link if they are interested in joining!

There are also flyers around campus that they can scan and fill out the form to.
