  1. Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs
  1. Engagement Activity Wednesday went very well!
  1. Working on a form to send out to the group this week
  1. Resolution #3 passed 7-2-1 in Assembly and 5-1-0 in Senate
  2. Golden Apples to be opened up soon for nominations
  3. Hybrid Joint Meetings
  1. Perhaps opening this up for even a few people?
  2. Would like to gauge the group on bringing this back.
  1. Policy 4300: Student Evaluation of Teaching
  1. Completed background research
  2. Begun working on draft policy, which we hope will be ready to pass Faculty Senate by this semester
  1. Questions:
  1. Do you need help with golden apples?
  1. Yes he would like some help especially later in the semester for the in person portion, potentially a stop by and pick up the award kind of thing
  1. Menu and allergies?
  1. Thinking of offering fancy cupcakes and such to take home instead of catering and going to make sure to take allergies into account and have options.
  1. When is the ceremony?
  1. No ceremony, instead a drop and go because of covid preferences
  2. Ability to plan one event instead of an online and in person ceremony, and having to change last minute.
  1. Associate Vice President of Student Organizational Affairs
  1. Heard 4 grants and 3 addendums last week
  1. Two grants scheduled for this coming Friday
  1. Working with Student Life Finance to move more funds into accounts
  2. Met with ISU representative to discuss what this position looks like at BSU and the movement of funds

  1. Yes she does and she will share it with everyone again

  1. Government Relations Officer
  1. Day at the Capitol is taking place tomorrow. Members of the gov rel committee will be helping to pass out gifts to the legislators tomorrow.
  2. Student Lobbyist
  1. Researching multiple bills that would affect students.
  1. Questions
  1. Need help tomorrow morning from 8:30-9:15 passing out honey to legislators
  2. What bills is Liz working on?
  1. Watching the budget and the voter bill
  1. Associate Vice President of Inclusive Excellence
  1. Title IX bill is ready to be reviewed
  2. Mutiple events on campus
  3. VPIE election update

  1. Is the Title IX bill an ASBSU bill?
  1. Yes, but not ready to present yet, unclear on the date
  1. VPIE election?
  1. One of the slated candidates dropped out so now it is only one candidate running
  2. Might be able to slate another candidate unclear on this
  3. Are you considering if it is fair to the other slated candidate?
  1. Yes that is why this has not been done before and there would be a process if they decided to add to the slate

  1. Ethics Officer
  1. A formal ethics hearing will take place on March 4th, 2022.

  1. She reached out to Alicia Estey and she will be coming to the joint meeting on March 9th to give an update
  2. Mobile food pantry on Thursday this week still need help
  3. She dropped the remaining joint meeting dates in the chat only three left
  4. Discussing changing the joint and committee meeting schedule due to conflicts and presenting the budget

  1. Mask mandate update
  1. Effective immediately, the ASBSU Office will be closed to all members of the public. Only paid officials and Staff advisors with key card access will be authorized to enter the space.
  1. Effective immediately, all ASBSU Business will be conducted either hybrid or virtually. Reiterating our mask mandate from Fall semester, all Business of ASBSU, both business of branches and committees, members of the committee and campus community members at large are REQUIRED to properly wear a mask (covering both the nose and mouth). Those who fail to comply will be dismissed from meetings, members will be marked with an unexcused absence. Meetings will not be rescheduled to accommodate those who fail to comply. There will be a virtual option for those who feel unsafe to share physical space with one another and for those who do not agree with masking.
  2. Resolution #3 update: Resolution #3 will be reviewed by the Assembly and Senate again with an update of the most current information related to the Bill. Andrew Mitzel will provide the update. This resolution will not be sent to the members of the “To be Communicated to” list that are external to the University until such review takes place. Pending the outcome of the review, I will sign the Resolution and handle distribution to the individuals external to campus.

  1. You can still meet with students and such outside of the closed office space
  1. What if we went hybrid?
  1. Yes we believe we could regulate masks for joint if we chose hybrid

  1. Grace asked if anyone wants to volunteer for some events on weekends off campus
  1. Grace will send out some volunteer forms via email
  1. Charlie lets us know what Bronco Day entails
  1. It is in person again for the first time this year in two years about 3,000 guests come to the university and it is all day April 9th
  2. Campus open house
  3. ASBSU has the opportunity to connect with prospective students the new team could potentially table
  4. He will also share the volunteer opportunities with this council soon
  1. Bronco giving day and Day at the capital are both this week
  2. The next Executive Council Meeting will take place March 7th at 3pm hybrid in the charter room
