It’s that time again!  The Ambassadors and RHR’s THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE IS November 13 – 21st.  Bring Canned and Boxed foods to your homeroom.  The Homeroom with the most donations will win a bagel party!!

SUPERLATIVE PICTURES will be this Saturday at 10:00am.  All winners will be meeting at Coin Castle Arcade.


The SCHOOL STORE is restocked.  Stop by 1st, 6th, or after school to check out our new shirts, windbreakers and snacks.


ATTENTION SENIORS!!! Any boy or girl interested in playing in the 8th annual STUDENT FACULTY BASKETBALL GAME, you must pick up a permission slip from Mr. Cohen in Room E5B by Thursday, Nov. 30th.  You also must attend a brief but mandatory meeting after school on Tuesday, Dec. 5th in Room E5B.  The first 25 Seniors to hand in their money and permission slip will be able to play.  The game is Friday, December 8th.

EAST AMBASSADORS HAT DAY!!!  TODAY,  Friday, Nov. 17, Donate $1 and wear a HAT!! (Must be school appropriate).  Greet an Ambassador in the Student Center Lobby OR Gym lobby before period 1 for a sticker.  $$ will be donated to “MOVEMBER”.  Sticker MUST BE VISIBLE AND WORN ALL DAY TO WEAR A HAT IN SCHOOL!


RAIDERS!!  The homeroom with the best attendance for the month of November will win a FREE BREAKFAST!!!!!!  ALSO, ANY STUDENT WITH PERFECT ATTENDANCE FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER WILL BE PLACED IN A DRAWING FOR AWESOME PRIZES.

Need a little help with your college entrance essays?  Having difficulty with that research paper? Or would you just like another set of eyes to proof-read your assignments?  The WRITING CENTER provides tutors to help with all types of writing assignments.  The WRITING CENTER is now open every Tuesday and Thursday after school in W20.  Ask your English Teacher for further details. – Schindler

CLUB NEWS
CALLING ALL STUDENTS 17 AND UP!!  We are excited to host our annual BLOOD DRIVE on December 6th!  All sign-ups will take place during lunches on the stage until November 28th.  Make sure you get plenty of sleep and on the day of, have your driver’s license, a list of all the medications you are taking, and DO NOT take any aspirin!!!


Blood Drive Quick Tip of the Day! What is the process of donating? Well, I’m glad you asked!!!          Step 1 – you register, Step 2 – Get a Mini physical, Step 3 – Your donation, and Step 4 – Enjoy    some refreshments.

If interested in a warm, cozy RAIDER BLANKET, orders are due TODAY.

The next meeting for the MINDFULNESS CLUB will be on Monday, November 13th and Monday,    November 27th in the Guidance conference room. Come relax and de-stress. We will meet until 2:20pm.
ATTENTION ALL PEER LEADERS:  There will be a MANDATORY Peer Leadership meeting after school on Monday, November 20th.  All MUST attend.


BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS: - Freshman; at HS East 6pm to 8pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
                                     JV/Varsity; at HS East 1:45 to 4pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
FRESHMEN GIRLS BASKETBALL PRACTICE on Monday, November 20th will be at SILVER BAY from 4-6.

For all those trying out for GIRLS BASKETBALL, JV and Varsity need to be at the High School East Gym on Monday, November 20th at 3:30.  Freshmen will meet at Silver Bay Elementary School at 3:45.  Check with coaches or see fliers near the girls locker room for the full schedule.  Make sure you hand in all physical paperwork.


FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS:  Quick 10 minute meeting Tuesday at 1:50 in W08 with Ms. Regad and Mrs. Truhan.  See you there!


All BOYS SOCCER Players MUST return their uniforms and Banquet Info by Tuesday, Nov. 21 if you have not already done so.


The ART CLUB is introducing an “ARTIST OF THE MONTH” exhibit in the main lobby!  Check out the display cabinet to see Joey Sacewicz’s artwork for the month of NOVEMBER!


FOR ALL THOSE ATTENDING THE HISTORY CLUB TRIP THIS SUNDAY Nov. 19th to Gettysburg, we are meeting on the side of the school near the gymnasium no later than 6:00 A.M. We are expected to return home between 9:00 and 9:30 pm.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Cohen.
