Dee’s Suggestions for Parkour Shoes

The best parkour shoe is typically going to be something that has really good grip, and is secure on the foot (won’t fall off when running up walls!)

  1. Feiyue.
  1. Real Feiyue’s are from a company in China, most of the one’s you’ll find on Amazon will be kind of off-brand but those are actually the ones we usually wear! They should look like this →
  2. $- They are inexpensive! Usually run about $15-$35 for the off-brand.
  3. Quality- will not last forever, because they are lightweight and are technically considered a martial arts shoe (wushu, kung fu) they tend to wear down quicker when used outside. Will last longer if used only inside the gym, but they are also very good for doing Parkour outside!
  4. Good to buy if your child is growing out of things quickly and might need a different size at some point.
  1. Onitsuka Tiger by Asics
  1. These recently stopped being sold in the US. You might still find some older stock on amazon though.
  2. $$- Can be a little pricey! Will typically run you anywhere from $25-$90. They are usually a good deal on Amazon though!
  3. Sturdier and a better quality than Feiyues. Good to buy if you want them to last a long time
  4. Get the “Ultimate 81” style or something with a similar hexagon sole pattern. Good grip!
  5. One of the most common Parkour shoe, they look great, and they can be worn as an everyday shoe! Pretty much good for everything
  1. Puma
  1. For kids the “Carson Runner” has the best bottom for parkour
  2. For Adults- the “Faas 300” for men has the best bottom, and the “Narita” for women
  3. $$- These will run you anywhere from $25-$80, depending
  4. Very good shoe! Will last a long time. Good for Parkour, running, and any kind of training, which makes this a good shoe for Parkour if you also want it to be good for everyday wear.
  1. Other brands to look up: ($$-$$$)
  1. Ollo PK
  2. Strike Movement
  3. Vivo Barefoot
  1. Other suggestions:
  1. Indoor Soccer shoes that are flat on the bottom typically do very well
  2. Water shoes
  3. Vans sneakers are not uncommon to see (they have a very good rubber bottom)
