The godparent for Baptism or sponsor for Confirmation must obtain a Letter / Certificate of Eligibility from the parish where he / she is currently registered and attends Mass regularly.  The Letter / Certificate of Eligibility states that you are a current registered member of the parish.  That you are in good standing and live a life in accordance with Catholic teachings (did not leave the Catholic faith for another religion, if married that you are in a valid Catholic marriage).

LETTERS / CERTIFICATES OF ELIGIBILITY

IS FROM the parish where you currently live and attend Mass regularly.

IS NOT FROM the parish where you attended school.

IS NOT FROM the parish where you made your sacraments.

IS NOT FROM the parish where your parents live.

In the Archdiocese of Philadelphia parishes have physical geographic boundaries.  Where you currently live determines within which parish boundaries you live.

When we receive mail back from the post office that you moved and they note your new address, if its not within OLPH parish boundaries, we remove you as a current active member from our parish roles.

It is your responsibility to contact your new parish and register.

If you got married and moved – REGISTER IN YOUR NEW PARISH

If you moved because of work – REGISTER IN YOUR NEW PARISH

If you moved away and have since moved back into the area - RE-REGISTER IN YOUR PARISH.
