ROLE TITLE: Greeter
ROLE CATEGORY: Welcome Team
BRIEF OVERVIEW: The purpose of the Greeter Ministry is to make people feel welcome when they come through the doors of our church. A friendly hello to everyone and stickers for children make them like our church has a purpose to welcome all.
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Angela Young
LENGTH OF SERVICE: 15 minutes prior to church on Sunday mornings or Saturday nights if attending Traditional service
PREREQUISITES: Members of Saint Paul Lutheran Church
GIFTS / TALENTS HELPFUL FOR THIS ROLE:Passion to make people feel welcome; Friendly
ROLE SPECIFIC DETAILS: Greeters are expected to arrive 30 minutes ahead of service, smile and say good morning. They should be on the lookout for new faces, introduce themselves and assist to answer any questions.
TIME FRAME: This is a one-year commitment. At the end of the year, Angela will ask if the greeters would like to return for the next year. If they don’t, she takes them off the list and will ask again the following year.
