Quaker Digital Academy’s ability to integrate technology and digital resources has helped families receive services without leaving their homes. |
District Obstacles or challenges in regards to implementing the plan. | Our vision is to create a supportive environment that fosters the holistic well-being of students, families, teachers, and staff. We are an online school serving students all over the State of Ohio. Collaborating with many different areas of our state can be a challenge. |

Objectives:
Counseling and Social Worker Services | Employ school counselors and social workers who will provide counseling sessions and if needed collaborate with licensed counselors to offer virtual counseling sessions for students. |
Provide secure video conferencing for confidential sessions | |
Mindfulness and Meditation | Recommend mindfulness and meditation materials for students’ teachers and staff |
Organize webinars on stress management techniques | |
Introduce PBIS techniques to students, teachers, and staff | |
Physical Opportunities | Provide physical opportunities |
Promote regular physical activity for students through flex credit. | |
Promote regular physical activity for all members of the school and community. | |
School Nurse | Will review student health records to comply with State laws and when needed provide training to staff on health and medical issues. |
Health Tracking Apps | Encourage the use of apps that help individuals monitor their physical activity and nutrition. |
Screen Time Guidelines | Educate students, teachers, and parents about the importance of balanced screen time |
Offer tips on managing screen time for productive and recreational purposes | |
Digital Detox | Initiate challenges encouraging participants to reduce screen time and engage in offline activities. |
Provide incentives for completing these challenges. | |
Online Safety | Conduct workshops or provide materials on cyberbullying awareness, digital etiquette, and online privacy |
