WHAT ARE POP-UP EVENTS?

Pop-up events are temporary, unexpected events in unique spaces. They pop up and, after an hour, they pop down. By definition they are temporary. It is the element of surprise in unexpected locations that distinguish pop-up events.

In fact, the right venue and the element of surprise can create excitement for any product.

Pop-up events can be:

The Venue

Pop-up events can take place in venues to surprise members.  Chapters can set them up in the parking lot, patios, picnic shelters, green spaces, a lobby or anywhere you have permission and can attract attention.  Ask at your current exhibition venues to see if they would allow for a pop-up.

Temporary pop-up events are a perfect fit for marketing ikebana as they generate attention by seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

At one time, hotels were concerned that pop-up events might compete with their offerings. Yet more and more properties are coming to the realization that pop-up events do not necessarily need to take place in a pop-up venue. They can take place on hotel property or in a function room. The advantage is that all infrastructure is already in place.

Even though pop-up events may seem impromptu, they require planning and attention to detail for successful execution.

Here are two examples of ikebana pop-ups

  1. Introduce Ikebana with a demo 1+1+1
