On Wednesday, May 1st we will be taking SENIORS to OCC for Registration Day. This will allow Seniors to go through the registration and orientation process. The buses will leave HSE at 7:30am and return to HSE at approx. 1:15pm. See you counselor for more information.

OCPGA’S 5TH Annual SPRING COLLEGE KICK-OFF FAIR is Tuesday, April 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the RWJ Barnabas Health Arena @TR HS North.  The fair is free to the public and no registration is needed.  Over 100 Colleges and the Military will be represented.  There will be 2 Financial Aid Workshops, one at 5:30 and one at 7pm.

Got Talent? Audition for the annual TALENT EXPO! Auditions will be held on March 26th and the show is April 5th. Share your talents with the school for a chance at cash prizes. See Mrs. Fitzgerald in C05 for details and to sign in.

On Sunday March 24th from 11:45am - 1:45pm the TRE KEY CLUB will be hosting a benefit Ice Skating Event at Winding River Ice Skating Rink. Admission is only $10 or $9 if you bring a canned good. ALL proceeds go to the FIELD OF DREAMS PROJECT. Tickets are available in Guidance or at the door.  Any questions see Mrs. Weinberger in Guidance or any Key Club member.

Please donate items to support our troops!  Care packages will be sent to our troops overseas as part of our nea big read “the things they carried”.  The homeroom with the most donated items will win a bagel breakfast!  Items needed include:  non-perishable food items, travel toiletries, playing cards, sweat socks, etc.  collection boxes are also located at door 4, main office and the media center.

There is a new club starting!  LIFT Lead, Inspire, Free, Together is a club devoted to promoting life skills to overcome personal obstacles and issues. Come join us on Wednesday after school in W06 for our 1st meeting. –Taaffe

In honor of ‘WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH”, the MILITARY SUPPORT CLUB will have guest speakers, who are actively serving in the US Army, “Women and their role in the military”.  The meeting will be on Tuesday, March 19th, during second and third periods in the Lecture Hall. Sign-up sheet for this meeting will be located in the Main Office.

RAIDEDRS IN SERVICE AND TACO-TASTIC!  Come to the launch of Tacolicious’ new name during Wednesday, March 20 and March 21st.  Come any time during the day and enjoy authentic Mexican food!  20% of the proceeds will be donated to offset the Dominican Republic trip. Located at 793 Fischer Blvd.

ATTENTION TEACHERS!   The COFFEE CORNER IS OPEN!!!  Our doors open at 7:15 in Room E16.  Keurig coffee is available at all times, and fresh brewed coffee is available by 7:30.  $1.00 for coffee or tea, and 50 cents for any snacks (doughnut, muffin, etc.)  Our students work the coffee shop periods 3 & 6 and will greet you at the door and check you out at the register, but we are open ALL DAY so any time the door is open just COME ON IN and help yourself!
