2023-24 FIRST GRADE VOLUNTEER JOBS on SIGNUP
- Teacher Helper – One volunteer a month helps with various class projects. Starts the 1st of each month and lasts the duration of the month. Please contact the teacher to ask if she needs help. Teacher Helper also brings lunch to teacher once during your assigned month.
- Guest Reader - One adult volunteer comes to class to read a book of your choice. Reader is varied per class: Voltoline – Friday Guest Reader from 8:15-8:30am, Kimple – Friday Guest Reader from 8:15-8:30am, Lewis – Guest Reader on Thursdays from 8:15–8:30am, Novak – Friday Guest Reader from 8:15 – 8:30 am, Morgan- Mondays 8:15-8:30. Sweaney – 8:15-8:30 (specific to each teacher; no siblings please)
- Carnival – 2 Volunteers to help with the carnival on Friday, Oct. 27th from 3-6pm
- Holidays Around the World – 7 volunteers are needed plus 1 team leader to teach the lesson on December 13th from 8:00 – 11:00 am. (no siblings please)
**All volunteers stay to clean and disassemble after party
- Winter Party – 6 volunteers are needed to assist with the party on December 14TH from 2:00-2:30 Volunteers can sign up to bring drinks, snacks, plates/napkins, a craft, a story reader (bring a book) and be the party coordinator. **ALL VOLUNTEERS STAY TO CLEAN AND DISASSEMBLE AFTER PARTY
- Valentine’s Exchange – 3 volunteers per class to send items with student in the morning on February 14th. You may sign up to bring snacks, drinks, and plates/napkins. Parents are NOT to attend the exchange (specific to each teacher)
- Spring Field Trip – Each class needs 10 chaperones/volunteers to follow the bus and help with students during the field trip. (Date & Time TBD) (specific to each teacher; no siblings please)
- Creature Teacher – Each class needs 2 volunteers to help with the event. (DATE & Time TBD)
- End of Year Popsicle Party - May 22nd – 1 volunteer to bring popsicles. No parents to attend. Please contact your teacher for specific time to drop popsicles off.
- Dads Camp Story Time – May 15th from 8:30-9:30 am. 5 volunteers needed per class. The volunteers will need to bring 1-2 books to read and a picnic blanket to sit on.
PLEASE NOTE - ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WILL BE ADDED TO SIGNUP THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND COMMUNICATED BY ROOM MOMS.
