Mar 12 – Lent activities with Potluck dinner!

Rev. Liz has some really interesting activities planned for 3 Wednesdays in Lent. The events are around different ways to pray. There will also be a potluck dinner available from 5:30 - 6:30pm before each session.

Come, experience and learn about these different prayer methods as we journey together through Lent!

Wednesday Mar. 12th - 7-8:30pm - Lectio Divina

Wednesday Mar. 26th - 7-8:30pm – Labyrinth

Wednesday Apr. 9th - 7-8:30pm - Singing Prayer

May 24 - Parish Garage Sale

It’s back!! After a few years hiatus, we are planning to have a Garage Sale on Saturday, May 24! (It’s not the long weekend.)  Please save the date. We could really use help on the day and setting up stuff on Friday evening.

We ask that the ‘treasures’ you contribute are in good shape. We are unable to accept furniture items as we just don’t have the space to store them, the physical ability to move them nor the vehicles to transport them around.

We will be providing more information in the coming weeks.

Dry Food Drive Campaign

We have found a way to partner with the Neighbourhood Church Edmonds (formerly Southside Community Church). It’s through the collection of the following dry foods:

1.     Rice & pasta

2.     Canned protein

3.     Canned soup & vegetables

4.     Dry goods

5.     Diapers & Pads

These items are easy for us to stock during the month. Items collected will be taken to the Neighbourhood Church Edmonds every second Thursday of the month when someone from our Sandwich Making Team delivers the homemade sandwiches.

So, when you go grocery shopping please consider picking up a few extra items from the listed dry foods. You can bring them to church on Sunday and place them in baskets clearly marked “Dry Food Drive Deposit” in the Narthex and at the back of the church. The preference would be that we match the brands of what we have so that our combined effort will have a seamless multiplier effect when we hand over the foods.
