Hey everyone, it’s been quiet on here so I wanted to give a bit of an update to you all!

I was hoping that things would quiet down after we moved in January, but things super did not quiet down! I quit my job, started a new one, got rid of another terrible roommate, fought with our landlord after they refused to fix things and threw out all our damn food at one point, and I’m working on cleaning up my living space a bit before my best friend moves in. Also, to be completely honest, editing unscripted audio is a gajillion million times harder for me than editing scripted audio and I have hit a brick wall labeled “executive dysfunction” on that front because I have been in such a revolving cycle of, of “crisis” and “recovery” for like four months now. In terms of where the podcast is going, don’t worry! It’s not over! Technically we’re not on a hiatus so much as a, uh….. Recovery period? I am aiming to have our next recorded episode out soon, but I don’t have a date on that because setting dates will probably encourage me to procrastinate further. I realize that sounds counter-intuitive, but just trust me. I’m gonna get my friends to kick my butt about it though, don’t worry. We’ve also got a couple of episodes I won’t be appearing on coming up that I’m really excited about! Fanfic streams are continuing on our same schedule of Monday nights at 7:30pm EST on our Twitch channel, and if something happens that prevents me from streaming I will post about it on our Discord and Twitter. I miss like one a month for exhaustion reasons but I’m trying to not do that! And finally, I am going to continue to make shorter, scripted character analysis videos, but the framing device will be changing from medicalizing language like “How to Diagnose this character” to something new I think you guys will like! The next scripted video will premiere on our YouTube channel on April 20th, 2021.

 I’m the director for New Game Plus, a post-Act-7 visual novel about the surviving Homestuck kids readjusting to a society they’ve never been a part of. June, Rose, Dave, Jade, and the rest of the gang are eased into Earth C’s society by a crew of brand-new consorts, who’ve been part of the social services division devoted to reintegrating the new gods into their new world. With writing, music, and art by some of your favorite artists, minigames like you’ve never seen in a Homestuck property before, and over a hundred original characters, New Game Plus is set to be a hit, in my humble opinion! I’m directing this game and writing for three characters, so of course my opinion is objective. More information is at h s new game plus dot com.

On top of that, I’m also writing and doing art direction for Friendsim 2, a fan sequel to Hiveswap: Friendsim. Years after MSPAR left and was forced to forget their friends, they return to Alternia, hoping to save their old friends too. Unfortunately for them, it might not be that easy. This project builds off of what we’re learning from New Game Plus, re-introducing you to familiar faces, and maybe seeing some new ones! So yeah, I’ve been working on a lot of non-Will it Homestuck stuff in my spare time, but I don’t want to stop making this podcast and I don’t want y’all to think I am! We’re just in a weird spot right now where we may have committed to several zines, projects, and video games. Haha. I am just one funky little lesbian making things to fill the void, y’know? It’s going pretty well for me, I think, but, um. I still want to get to the stuff I committed to.

Thank you again for everyone who has stuck with this podcast! I really do have a lot of fun theorizing about this kind of stuff, and I love seeing how much fun you guys have with similar ideas.
