Craft Days at LabSpace | 4+ | Wed, June 24 10:00-11:00 (Bird Theme) Fri, June 27 10:30-11:30 (Theme: 4th of July crafts) Wed, July 16 10:30(Theme: Wind) Fri, July 25 10:30-11:30 (Theme: Summer Crafts) | $5 per child with a max of $10 per family Wed, July 16th Theme: Windy Crafts | Join us for kid friendly crafts! We’ll have everything ready to go, so you can just come and create with your children. Each morning we'll have a couple of crafts ready for you to come in and make your own. We'll gear projects for ages 4-9, but older and younger siblings are welcome. Our craft morning series is a wonderful opportunity for kids to explore their creativity in a fun and supportive environment. Please note that this is not a teacher-led activity. While we'll provide samples, craft supplies, and a mentor to answer questions, parents will be responsible for guiding their children through the projects. Kid’s Build Mornings | 4+ | 10:30-11:30 5/16, 6/2, 7/2 and 7/23 | $5 per child, no charge for siblings 3 and under | Join us for an hour of creative building fun! Kids Build Morning is a chance for children and their parents to explore and build together using a variety of materials like magnet tiles, Keva Blocks, LEGOs, DUPLO, and more. Let your imaginations soar as you design, construct, and play side-by-side. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child and other families in our welcoming LabSpace environment. |
LEGO Amusement Park Adventures (One-Day Workshops) | Grades 1/2 | 10:15-11:05 6/24- Lego Carousel 6/26 Lego Ferris Wheel 7/3-Lego Snack Stand 7/17 Lego Teacup Ride | Admit 1: $15 Admit 2: $20 | Step right up for some LEGO fun at LabSpace! In these special one-day workshops, we'll dive into the LEGO Spike Essentials Amusement Park sets to build and bring a different ride or attraction to life. Each day focuses on a new creation, like the carousel, Ferris wheel, snack stand, or tea cups, where we'll use motors and sensors to make them spin, move, and interact. It's a fantastic chance to explore coding with easy, icon-based programming that's perfect for all skill levels. You can sign up for just one adventure that sparks your interest, or join us for all four to build the entire park! Activities will be appropriate for grades 1/2/3 |
STEM Fun: Magnetic Sculpture | Ages 8+, (Ages 5-7 with an adult) | Mon, June 30 10:45-11:35 | $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in a family. | Play with our magnetic pendulums and then make your own magnetic sculpture that you can take home. What will you create? A butterfly that visits flowers, a sea turtle swimming through the ocean? We can't wait to see what you create! Ages 7+ can do this project pretty independently, but adults are always welcome to stay and help with the creation. Under 7 are welcome, but must have a hands-on adult helper. |
STEM Fun: Cardboard Grabber | Ages 8+ (5-7 with an adult helper) | Tuition: $10. Max of $20 per family. | Build a cardboard grabber that you can take home! We'll make a cool, extendable grabber arm and learn how to use brads to attach pieces together so they can move. Ages 8+ can do this project independently, but adults are always welcome to stay and help! Under 7 are welcome, but must have a hands-on adult helper. | |
STEM Fun: String-Powered Robot | See description | Mon, June 16th | $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in a family. | Discover the cleverness of hinges and use them to design and build your own unique, string-powered dancing robot from cardboard. Learn how to make your robot move with a simple pull of a string! We encourage younger makers (ages 5-6) to join in the fun with the assistance of a parent or guardian. 7 and up will be able to do most of this project independently. |
STEM Fun: Marshmallow Launcher | Ages 5-7 with an adult, 8+ independently | Wed, June 18 | $10 | Create a pyramid-catapult to launch marshmallows! This is a great project for ages 5-7 with an adult helper and 8+ on their own or with a helper. When our catapults are finished, we'll build some cup-castles to knock down! |
Young Engineers and Robot Builders | Grades 2-4 | Tues-Thur July 22-24 1:00-4:00 | Admit 1: $95 Admit 2: $150 Register Here | Ready to explore and create? Join us for a 3-day Robotics and Engineering workshop where we'll build, tinker, and learn together! Using the LEGO Spike Essentials sets, we'll design and program exciting LEGO creations. We'll discover how motors and sensors make them move and respond. This workshop introduces programming in a super friendly way, using pictures instead of words, so it's easy for everyone to jump right in. You'll get to engineer some cool take-home engineering projects each day, even though our LEGOs will stay here at LabSpace. Please note: The curriculum for this workshop is the same as our "Hands-on Robotics and Engineering" summer camp. If your child has already registered for that camp, this workshop will cover similar projects and concepts. We're excited to see what you'll imagine and build! |
STEM Fun: Build a Crane! | Ages 5- with an adult helper, 8+ independently | Mon, June 14 10:00-10:50 | $10 Admit 1 $15-Admit up to 3 siblings | Build a fun crane that you’ll get to take home at the end of the workshop! How heavy of a load can your crane lift? What can you change to make your crane stronger? Lots of fun experimenting! |
STEM Fun: Straw Rockets | Ages 6-7 with an adult helper, 8+ independently | Thur, July 3 11:30-12:20 | Admit 1: $8 Family Admission: $16 | Explore the power of elastic potential energy as you make straw rockets and a cool device to "fling" them with! This is a family class, we ask that parents stay and work with their children who are 5-8 years old. Older children can do this project independently. |
STEM Fun: Wigglebots | Ages 8+ independently, Ages 6-7 with an adult helper | Wed, July 2 12:15-1:15 | Admit 1: $12 Admit 2: $20 https://labspacerobotics.com/events/stem-fun-workshops/ | Wire together a circuit with a motor and a switch and then use it to create a robot that wiggles around. You can even add markers for legs and your robot will draw as it wiggles! All supplies are provided. Ages 8+, younger welcome with a hands-on adult helper. Parents are always welcome to stay and create with their children. |

We'll dive into hands-on challenges, experiment with different materials, and even dabble in some introductory robotics using LEGO Spike Essentials to bring our creations to life. It's a fantastic way for curious minds to discover how things work, express their artistic flair, and develop problem-solving skills in a playful, supportive environment. |
