ExpatPlus Privacy Statement

ExpatPlus gathers information required to assist you with placement of your children in appropriate schools, aftercare, or day care centers.

We gather personal data for two situations:

1. To respond to a service request, we need to obtain your name and contact details, current and future address details, and general information about your situation: number of children and approximate ages, and your expected date of arrival in the Netherlands. This prepares us for a consultation to follow up on the service request. Should you decide not to go ahead with our services, or we determine that we will not be able to assist, we will delete your information.
2. If you decide to use our services, we will require more detailed information. These include

1. Your full name, current and future address, and contact details - retained from the service request.
2. For each child, we will require date of birth, full names, and gender^[1], and current school year at their current location. We also need to know when each child will need to start schooling or care services in the Netherlands.
3. We will require information about day care or aftercare needs: for which days of the week care is required and the approximate duration on each day.

We use the information as follows:

1. We need to share detailed information with schools, care centers, and service providers to determine whether they have capacity to assist you. This information is shared telephonically with possible options, and only provided in writing or digitally to the schools and services that you select, based on our input and advice.
2. If you request us to do so, we complete the paperwork to apply for a position at a school, care center, or service on your behalf. This information is transmitted digitally to the recipient.

Your rights are as follows:

1. The detailed information provided by you, as defined above, together with the application forms, will be destroyed three months after our final engagement, irrespective of whether we have placed your children or not. We will notify you of this event.
2. We do not share the detailed information, or initial engagement information, with anyone else.
3. Under all circumstances, and throughout the process, you have the following rights:

1. To request us to inform you about information we hold about you;
2. To request a change to the information;
3. To request that we destroy the information and provide proof that we have done so.

Entering into a consultation, requesting service, or engaging with ExpatPlus through any channel (social media, telephonically, or via our website) signifies that you have read and understood our privacy policy, and that you agree to our practices and provisions.
