22-23 Register My Athlete Instructions

The Dysart Unified School District uses the ‘Register My Athlete’ website as part of the process for athletic clearance for the 22-23 school year.  The instructions for starting & completing the athletic clearance process are below.  Once complete, your son or daughter will be eligible to participate in athletics at Shadow Ridge.

Instructions For Returning Parents:

Go to www.registermyathlete.com and click “Login” found on the right side of the page.

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN RMA PARENT ACCOUNT DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. Login and follow steps 3-5 & “Uploading Documents” below to register your athlete(s) for a sport. If you have previously added an athlete, that athlete will appear as you register for a sport.

If you have never created an account:

Instructions for Parents

  1. Create an account: ​Go to https://www.registermyathlete.com and then select “Create Account.” The “Account Creation” will appear where you will enter in the information asked for. At the bottom of this page, be sure to select “parent” from the options of the type of user you will be. Select the “Create Account” button when you have completed the form.
  1. Your account has now been created. Click on the large button called “Parent” and you will be directed to a “Terms of Use” page. Complete the page and select “Submit.”
  1. Register My Athlete Page Tutorial​: A grey box will appear that says “Welcome to your Register My Athlete landing page. We would love to show you around!” Please select the button “Ok Let’s Go!” to receive a tutorial on how to navigate the page to complete your athlete’s registration.
  1. Add a new Athlete: ​On your main page you will see a grey banner that says “What would you like to do?” Select the button “Register for a Sport.” You will be taken to the “Registration Checklist” where you will click “select a school” and then click “select an athlete.” A box will appear where you will click on “Add new Athlete.” Complete the form and press “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
  1. This can also be done by clicking the Show Navigation bar to the left of the screen and under My Athletes click Add a New Athlete

Athlete Profile: ​To change/update any athlete information 1.          (Guardian information, DOB, Grade, Graduation year, etc.) please do the following: Click Show Navigation, then click on your athlete's name under My Athletes. Halfway down the page click on the Athlete Summary bar. A small page drops down. At the top-middle of that page, click where it says Click Here to Edit. Here you can edit any athlete information. You will have to mark the small box where it says you will keep the information current and then click Submit.
  2. Register for a Sport/Complete Started Registration: On your main page you will see a gray banner that says “What would you like to do?” Select the button “Start/Complete Registration.” You will see a “New Registration” button at the top of the page and underneath you will see any started registrations sorted by school year.  Click on “New Registrations” unless you have previously started a registration, you can click on the appropriate registration to complete.  You will then be taken to the “Registration Checklist” where you will click on and complete each button as it appears.
  1. Red button: task to complete
  2. Yellow button: task in progress
  3. Green button: task is complete
  1. After registration: ​​After registration is complete, you can login at any time to view the Status of your athlete and their participation on the team.  It will say “Complete” under the sport once your athlete has been cleared.  They may not tryout or participate in conditioning until they are cleared.

Uploading Documents (#5 Additional Requirements/Physicals)

**AIA requires that athlete physicals must be dated after March 1st 2022 to be valid for the 22-23 school year**

Please plan on uploading your athlete’s documents (Physical, Brainbook Certificate, etc).  If you are absolutely unable to upload your documents, they can be brought to the athletic office and the school will upload them for you.  

Please note: upload times vary, typically documents will be uploaded within 48hr, however during high volume times, it may take longer, and can take up to a week.  If you need the school to upload your documents, please don’t wait until the last minute to turn them in.  The school will not accept documents to upload the week before or week of tryouts, except in extenuating circumstances.

  1. PDF documents need to be uploaded via computer.
  1. To upload a new document, click the up arrow to the right of the form you are submitting
  2. Select “Choose File” and select your document.  If you have multiple files, click “Add Another File” until you have uploaded the entire document.
  3. Click “Save Upload(s)
  4. The document’s status will now say “Pending School Approval”
  5. Repeat these steps to upload all required documents
  1. You can also take pictures of your documents to upload.  To upload via computer, follow the steps above.  To upload via phone follow directions below:
  1. To upload a new document, click the up arrow to the right of the form you are submitting
  2. Select “Choose File” and select your photo.  You can select multiple photos if needed.
  3. Click “Submit”
  4. The document’s status will now say “Pending School Approval”
  5. Repeat these steps to upload all required documents
