Dear Parents,

ATTENTION PARENTS:  Friday, December 22, is an early dismissal day at 12:00 pm.  The offices will close at 12:00 pm and there will be no daycare.  Please make sure and pick up your child at 12:00 pm sharp!  Thank you!

Another Scholastic Reading Club will go home this week in order to get it back in time for Christmas.  There are many wonderful choices.  If you would like to make your order a surprise for Christmas presents, please let me know and I will put the order in a bag or box and put it in the office for you to pick up when the order comes in.  Please send in the order form and payment made out to Scholastic Reading Club or send cash or order online using our special code (LFHTY) that will be on the order form by this Friday by midnight.  What a fun and delightful way to surprise your children!

Progress reports were emailed last Wednesday, on November 29.  Please confirm and respond to the email to let me know you received it.  I had one parent confirm that they received it.  If you did not receive it then please check with the office to make sure your correct email is in Jupiter.  Jupitered is our main way of communicating with the parents.  Thank you!

Pig Race Day will be on this Wednesday, December 6, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the gym. The list of teams for the pig races was sent home last week.  The children are to wear their team color on Pig Race Day.  The 9 top sellers of the school will be given a school pig to use for the race.  We had three winners chosen to race a pig for the pig race day and they were Angelina, Nikita, and Kaleb.

Thank you!

Dear TCS Parents,

We are looking for volunteers to help with one of the most popular events of the school year – The Pig Races! We would be so blessed if you could come and lend a hand on Wednesday, Dec. 6th. We begin set-up in the gym at 8:30 and the Pig Races get started at 10:00. There are lots of easy-to-do tasks and we have almost as much fun setting up as we do at the event. We are always finished before lunchtime but you don’t have to be available for the entire 3 hours in order to help. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to our top 9 sellers for the Frozen Food Fundraiser:

Dress Attire & Punctuality

For middle school:

All middle school students must arrive at 6:30 P.M.

Please do not be late; this is a big part of their Music grade.

The flyer for the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser went home last week.  Please send in your $ for your tickets to the office for a fun evening if you would like to attend.

Wednesday, December 20, will be a late start @ 9:25 am instead of 8:25 am for school.  Students can be dropped off at the G Building by 8:00 am at no charge.

Christmas Pizza Party - Friday, December 22, 10:45 am - 11:45 am - The children will have a pizza party.  Please send in $3.00 (cash only) with your child by this Friday to pay for the pizza.  We need some parents to volunteer to send in small water bottles and two fruit platters.  Mrs. Amiwero will be bringing in a dessert.

The children will participate in a gift exchange.  Girls will exchange with girls and boys will exchange with boys.  Please make sure the gift is wrapped with a Christmas label marked “To a girl” or “To a boy” and “From your child’s name.”  The gift should be in the price range of $3.00 to $5.00.

With the cooler weather upon us, the jackets and sweaters are out.  Please label your child’s outerwear with his/her name as so many of them are similar (lots of navy blue) and the children don’t always recognize theirs.  Also, for parents of girls: if your girl wears a dress or skirt, be sure she also wears shorts underneath.  Bike shorts work really well.  Thank you!

Blessings,

Mrs. Owens
