Attendance: Council members Dustin Epperson, Jude Hampshire, Mary Hite, Debra Kohman, Tom Lee

Staff Members: Mayor Michael Compton, City Administrator Hickin, Assistant City Administrator/Interim Utility Director Chris Sharrock, Utility Director Joseph Peterson, Law Director Brian Zets, Finance Director James Nicholson, Director of Public Services Alan Haines, Police Chief Bruce Brooks, and Clerk Jessica Cumbo

Public Attendance: 19 community members

Public Comment: Abate of Ohio was present to receive Mayor Compton's proclamation of May as Motorcycle Awareness Month and to share information about their organization.

A citizen commented on the current traffic situation on Summit and Graham roads (trucks, excess noise) and urged the council to take action to improve the lives of Pataskala's people.

Another citizen asked for clarification about where the "Fair Lady" project stands from the city's perspective. City Administrator Hickin explained that a super-majority vote (5 out of 7) would be needed to override a decision from the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Old Business: Consent Agenda matters - Approved         Ordinance 2023-4458: To rezone properties located at 0 Clark State Road, 0 Summit Road, and 14530 Graham Road (parcels totaling approximately 192 acres, a.k.a, the Fair Lady project) from Rural Residential and Medium-Low Density Residential zoning classifications to the Planned Manufacturing zoning classification was taken off the table and read as a Second Reading. The next meeting will be the Third Reading of this ordinance.  Second Readings of Ordinances 2024-4468 and  2024-4469 occurred.  

New Business: First Reading of Ordinance 2024-4470

Resolution to accept and execute a contract to replace the Headleys Mill Road bridge superstructure - Approved

Motion to appoint Beth Kolp to the Parks and Recreation Board - Passed

Motion to appoint Jerika Zuckerman to the Records Commission - Passed
