Dear 8th Grade Families,

Welcome to the start of a new school year! As you embark on your new school year journey, there are a few supplies that will enhance your chances of success. School-Provided Materials

The school will provide each scholar with one planner and one Yondr pouch. Please note: Replacements can be purchased with Ms. Herrera for $10 per planner and $30 per Yondr pouch.

Please note: This is a general supply list. Additional items may be requested by specific teachers once the school year begins. Label all reusable supplies with the scholar’s first and last name, including headphones, water bottle, calculator, pencil pouch, stapler, notebooks, and folders.

Individual Items: Essentials (Needed for Day 1)

• Wired Headphones with Microphone - (no apple, wireless or bluetooth headphones. Scholars will use them with their classroom Chromebook). Sample 1 - Headphones or  Sample 2 - Headphones
• Wired mouse (Optional - Recommended) - to be used during in-school learning (no wireless mouse for the classroom chromebook)
• Plastic Water bottle - Ensure that the water bottle is included as an individual item to bring to school.
• 6 1-subject notebooks - (labeled - multi colored: ELA, Science, Social Studies, Math, Enrichment)
• 8 pocket folders for handouts - color-coded and labeled by class Or 1 accordion folder with at least 6 sections

• Red - Math
• Blue - Social Studies
• Green - Science
• Yellow - ELA
• Enrichment - at least 4 extra folders for enrichment classes

• 1 Graph paper notebook
• For Algebra I: TI 83 or TI 84 Graphing Calculator (for home use to complete homework, leave at home)

• Target - Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE or Amazon - Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE 

• 1 Dozen blue or black pens
• 1 pack of multi-colored Highlighters
• 1 handheld portable Stapler (labeled)
• 1 handheld pencil sharpener (labeled)
• 2+ Dozen pencils OR 2+ dozen mechanical pencils with extra lead
• 2 Erasers
• 1 Pencil pouch (labeled)
• 1 pack of Post-it notes
• 2 packs of Index Cards
• 1 box of colored pencils
• 1 pack of Dry Erase Markers (Low Odor)

• 1-2 Gluesticks

• For Living Environment: Barron’s Regents Exams and Answers: Living Environment 2020 
• 1 Protractor
• 1 Ruler

Regents Preparation

• Regents Prep Binder (1-inch)
• Living Environment Lab Folder
• Algebra I Review Book (Optional)

Individual Items: Restock/Replenishment

• 1-2 boxes of facial tissues (Kleenex)
• 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
• 1 container of disinfecting wipes

Materials for home:
