We will decide before each monthly meeting. Members to check website.
- Stay informed: Corona Virus/ Covid-19 is spreading – “Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Wash hands often with soap and water (20 seconds). Avoid touching face, nose, eyes and mouth with unwashed hands. Clean and disinfect things you touch often. Cough or sneeze into tissue and dispose of in trash. If sick stay home. We hope all will take necessary steps to keep yourself, family and friends healthy. Look out for our neighbors and keep a safe distance from any crowds”. (United Health Care/AARP update)
- Program: Dale Kavula – TWA Presentation, JFK, New York – Highlights:
Dale was asked by the TWA reunion association to became the official photographer for the TWA Reunion and the TWA magazine. She was able to display photos: of outside/inside of TWA planes, inside lounges, colorful red carpets throughout the old terminal that has the 60’s motif. Many costumes changes for stewardesses, shoeshine seats, older telephones, original arrival/departing Flight Board, which was the first electronic flight board in US, and posters from all over the world. Stairway photos in black/white, first class dining service with expensive china. There was total of 105 pilots and flight attendants at this last reunion. Photos of architectural photos from 911 memorial in Manhattan, NY. Reflection Pool, Modern buildings, Flags at half mast, 911 casualties of their names on plaques. Dale gave us many sensational TWA photos with the TWA logo “TWA gave us the world”. Interesting, informative presentation, be sure to ask her about this experience, she is an active member and solid photo walk guide for our Photography Club.
