CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE TICKETS FOR TICKETED EXTRA ACTIVITIES IN NYC
Tickets for Ticketed Extra Activities are available to all students as well as their family and friends.
Students are welcome to attend any of the Ticketed Extra Activities during the Summer Intensives. They are not restricted to the activities during their registered week.
*Tickets to the 4th of July Firework Spectacular and the 4th of July Dorm Party are only available to Housing students.
All activities are chaperoned by staff.
Staff will escort Housing students from the dorm/studio to the activity, attend the activity with them and escort them back to the dorm. In the event that a Housing student will not have enough time to travel back to the dorm after class, they will need to pack for the day accordingly. Housing students (on the meal plan) departing from the studio must pick up their pre-prepared dinner during breakfast. Students who do not pick up a meal at breakfast will not have a meal saved for them.
Departure from the dorm/studio: Students must arrive at the departure location at the assigned time. Please note that for some activities, you will only have a few minutes between class and the departure time to eat and get dressed.
Arrival at the venue: Commuter students who did not travel with the group, must meet at the designated spot by the assigned time.
During the activity: All students should listen to staff and should be exhibiting proper etiquette. Students are not allowed to be on their phone or talk during a performance, climb over seats, etc. A staff member will address them if they do not behave accordingly. Please do not disrespect the staff members.
After the activity: ALL STUDENTS (Housing and Commuter) must meet at the designated spot where attendance will be taken. Commuter students are not allowed to leave until they are dismissed and accounted for. Housing students must travel back to the dorm with the group.
Tickets will be distributed at the venue before the event.
If a Commuter student is not present after distribution of tickets is complete for a show, their name will be written on the back of the ticket and left at the box office. Please note that some shows do not allow late seating and that patrons who arrive late to an activity other than a show will not be able to attend the activity.
JBS does not officially honor seating requests. Traditionally the group tickets are reserved together. Some seats might not be located in the same row or section as the rest of the group. Although seating requests are not guaranteed, we will try our best to honor them. Tickets left at the box office for late comers might not be located together or with the rest of the group.
Tickets will only be distributed to dancers and guardians listed on the roster (as provided by the students/guardians when they purchased tickets).
Is there a waitlist for sold out Ticketed Extra Activities?

ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES.
If a dancer cannot attend an activity that they purchased a ticket for, they must send an email to events@joffreyballetschool.com immediately. They may choose to gift or donate the ticket to another dancer.
It is the responsibility of the dancers and guardians to confirm intensive and activity dates, times and details, before purchasing tickets.
Dancers can sign up for free Dorm Extra Activities with the RA on duty.
Only Housing students are allowed to sign up for Dorm Extra Activities. Commuter students, family and friends are not allowed to sign up for Dorm Extra Activities.
*Dorm Extra Activities could be canceled at any time due to weather, rehearsal schedules, attendance and other factors.
Students DO NOT need to purchase tickets for the Musical Theater Intensive Activities.
Only students who are registered for the Musical Theater Intensive are allowed to attend.
Family and friends of Musical Theater students are allowed to purchase tickets to the show that their student is attending.
All activities are chaperoned by staff. Staff will escort all students, from the studio to the activity, attend the activity with them and escort Housing students back to the dorm.
Commuter students are required to travel with the group, unless they are 14 and older and a guardian signs them out at the studio at the end of the day, or they’re 18 and older and they sign themselves out.
Housing students may not have enough time to travel back to the dorm after class and will need to pack for the day, accordingly. Housing students must pick up their pre-prepared dinner during breakfast. Students who do not pick up their dinners at breakfast will not have a meal saved for them after the show.

*All Broadway musicals are assigned by the Directors. Dancers will receive more information about their assignment the week before their intensive. Requests for specific productions are not allowed. Students will only attend one Broadway Musical a week.
All activities take place on weekday evenings and Saturdays.
Students (20 and younger) attending activities will automatically have a curfew extension. Legal Guardians do not need to submit a request for a curfew extension.
All Housing Students (20 and younger) must check in for curfew after returning from the activity.
Information and instructions concerning activities will be posted on Band during the week of the program and discussed during Housing Orientation.
Emails with detailed information will be sent no later than the day before the activity for Ticketed & Musical Theater Intensive Activities.
Although information is posted as far in advance as possible, some communication concerning instructions and detailed information may be delayed at times due to many variables such as staff and escort arrangements, rehearsal schedules and many other tangible details.
If a student purchased a ticket for an activity and did not receive any information, they should reach out to a staff member. Do not wait until the day of the activity to confirm information. If a dancer is unsure about arrangements and instructions concerning an activity, it remains their responsibility to retrieve and confirm that information.
Students can: Text/call the RA on duty, ask the RA on duty/during curfew, ask the AA at the studio, email events@joffreyballetschool.com.
JBS will not be liable for a student that missed an activity due to uncertainty concerning arrangements. Dancers who did not follow instructions as far as departure times and destinations are concerned, will not be accommodated. Claiming to be uninformed will not be accepted as an excuse.
