The Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Program
Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence (BRSE) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. They provide continuous improvement support through school recognition, one-of-a-kind survey, and actionable insights, resources, and guidance. With their comprehensive approach including professional development, best practice sharing, national conferences and networking, they do everything possible to create a path forward for all schools and all kids.
The Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Program is a comprehensive school self-assessment experience utilizing the Blueprint for Excellence with guidance and support from Blue Ribbon Recognized School Educators.
The BRSE Program develops and supports educational policies that improve student performance and enable comprehensive school reform. BRSE also provides a network of educators from nationally recognized Blue Ribbon Schools, as well as researchers, business leaders, philanthropists and government officials, which allows these individuals to exchange information and ideas.
The BRSE Blueprint is designed to be a positive school improvement process that covers nine major categories of critical performance elements found in excellent schools.

In November 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 a team of representatives from TAOTS traveled to Orlando, Florida to the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Conference to share their secrets of success with practical and “step by step” suggestions for implementation of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model and Enrichment Clusters.
In 2016, TAOTS received the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence award.
In 2017, TAOTS received the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Lighthouse award.
In 2022, TAOTS received the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (Validation Assessment for high performing schools in the nine performance areas) Lighthouse award.
