Introduction to BSD Induction Program

The Boise School District and the Boise Education Association are continuously striving to provide the highest possible quality of education. Out of this shared vision the Peer Assistance Program was established as a way to provide collegial and instructional support to new and veteran teachers.

All new certified staff receive orientation and induction information during the New Hire Opening Meetings held before school starts. Attendance is required and all attendees receive a stipend. Student Services Supervisors provide induction support tailored for counselors, social workers, and nurses. Special Education Supervisors provide induction support tailored for special education personnel (teachers, SLP, etc.). General Education teachers will receive induction support from the Peer Assistants.
