Remington Seeds (Winterst)

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. Forklift experience is desired but not required, training will be provided. Work on the bagging line which runs at 10 bags per minute.  Training will be provide for each role.   Must be able work in all roles with a 3 Hour rotation for each role: Breaking bags, Hanging bags, Sewing bags, Stacking bags, Work on the warehouse floor, Loading and unloading trucks, Picking customer orders, Sorting return orders, Cleaning and washing bulk boxes, $13-15/hr

Job Opportunity

We are looking to hire some high school seniors to work at the Osceola Parks and Recreation Department (Maple Hill Cemetery, Parks, Osceola golf course) for this summer.  Hours are usually 40 hours per week dependent on weather of course.  With school going later we would like to find some seniors who could start earlier if possible and work until middle of August.  Most of the work would be running a zero turn lawn mower and weed eater as well as any other duties assigned.  Starting pay is $10 per hour.  If you could pass this along to any kids interested that would be much appreciated.  If they are not seniors but interested they could apply as well.  Applications will be available at City Hall.

We have a few copies of the 2017-18 Yearbook left for sale. They are $50. See Mrs. Reece to purchase one! The goal is to feature each student at least 3 times in the book!

Walmart Tuition Assistance

Walmart employees, after 90 days of employment, can qualify for tuition assistance. Please see Mrs. Scott for more information. Information is also posted on the bulletin board near the nurse’s office.

FCA

FCA (Fellowship for Christian Athletes) you need not be an athlete to attend.  We will meet every other week on Tuesday mornings at 7:40am in room 119.  If you have questions or want to know when the meetings will be held, please stop by Mrs. Murphy’s room.

HS Study Table

HS Study table - Tuesdays and Thursdays. Morning session is 7:00 am to 8:00 am, afternoon session is 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, in the MS/HS Library/LMC.

The Coolidge Scholarship for Juniors

The 2019 Coolidge Scholarship application is now live.

The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that may be used by recipients for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans on enrolling in college in the fall of 2020 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (unfortunately current high school seniors are not eligible to apply).
